Declutter Your Brain by Crafting Your Perfect Writing Nook

Declutter Your Brain by Crafting Your Perfect Writing Nook

Image source: https://i2.wp.com/www.diypassion.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/How-to-Declutter-and-Organize-Holiday-Decor-with-the-KonMari-Method.jpg?resize=550%2C975

We live in a world where our attention is pulled in a million places: family, work, the Internet and more. It is hard to sit and write when your brain is cluttered and full of distractions. Heres how to create a well-lit, organized and motivational writing nook to channel your creativity and declutter your mind.

Decluttering Starts with Cleanliness

If you have papers, books, and pens everywhere, then it can curb your ability to write. A lot of people just stack things on their desk and hope to clean it later. You can increase productivity and inspiration by starting and ending your writing sessions with a little cleaning. Developing strong habits keeps your writing nook organized.

If you happen to let your nook slip, it can stress you out to let anyone near your space. Psychologically, you can think clearer if your desk, chairs and room are clean and organized. Remember that this writing space is your sanctuary. This nook should be soothing, a little oasis, and not a stressful typhoon of mess.

Think about what is absolutely necessary in your writing nook. Every item should have a purpose. This space is not meant to be a storage unit. If a space is disorganized, you are more likely to be lazy and unmotivated. It might take some time to remove unnecessary items, but this is essential to your self-care and productivity.

Once you clean and declutter your nook, you will never want to leave it. If you start to feel lazy, remember your writing goals and that this space is yours. Repeating your goals and staying on top of cleaning will train you to stay focused and attentive.

Choose the Right Lighting

The right lighting makes a space warm, inviting and soothing. If you choose the right lamps and positioning, you can feel inspired to write and think clearly. Dim or poorly positioned lights can make you tired and lethargic.

First, think about where your desk or computer will sit and where the outlets and Internet are situated. It is important to minimize reflections on your computer screen or shadows on your papers. This can be distracting and cause eye fatigue. A general rule is that the light should not be stronger than the laptop screens and should be indirect positioned to the left or right of you. You can also try arranging lights so that they bounce off of the ceiling.

Well-positioned lamps and lighting mean that not only can you focus but you can pick up on other flaws to the space. For example, you can see stains on your computer screen, streaks on the windows and dust in the room corners. Take some time to experiment with different lamp sizes and types of lights until you find the combination that works for you.

Air It Out

Scent is everything. A workspace should be inviting. Start by opening the windows every once and a while. The fresh air will jolt you into productivity.

Next, think about adding some fresh flowers, plants, potpourri or scented candles to add some atmosphere and rich scents to trigger your senses, memory, imagination and creativity - lavender, for example. While the combination of these natural elements makes the area even more of a sanctuary, its important to remember to never leave candles burning for too long.

Your Nook Should Be Stress-Free

A writing nook should be free from distraction. This means leaving your phone in the other room, figuring out how to block out television noise and thinking about the positioning of your desk. If you like looking out the window for inspiration, this could help, but some people might be distracted by the outside world.

Know yourself. If you are active, then you may want to get a standing desk or an exercise ball to sit on. Having something like small puzzles or fidget spinners could help you work through creative blocks. Focus on your self-care in your nook so you can really open your mind.

Decorate the Space

You should want to spend time in your writing nook. This means paying attention to the furniture, accents and even the colors of the walls. Creative ideas come quicker when you are in a comfortable and inviting space.

First, think about the color of the walls. You do not want them to be a dingy or old white color or a boring grey. Instead, think about colors that open up a space, brighten the nook and make you happy. Low-wavelength colors like calming blue shades improve focus whereas yellow can improve innovation. It is important to avoid using too much red because it can increase the heart rate and excitement levels, making it hard to think.

Next, put some photographs, artwork and accents on the walls. When you are not looking at your laptop or reading, you should have something that inspires you. Some people love looking at photos of their loved ones or remembering important memories. Others find inspiration from quotations or art.

Your desk can be decorated too. Small toys, photos or decorations make the space more personal and inviting. It will be important to have a desk organizer so it is easy to find things like pens, paperclips and other essential items. Do not let your lamp and computer wires get caught together this adds clutter and chaos.

Think about even bringing in a comfortable armchair or plush couch for the space, if there is room. You could take a quick nap and get back to your writing. A writing nook is about you and your needs. You should be able to spend a day in here and feel completely at home.

You can declutter your brain by building your dream writing nook at home. It is okay to make a space for you only. As people grow older, they think that they should not be selfish or pursue their dreams. Building a writing space means that you have your own place to dream. All it takes is some careful planning and organizing.

Critical Thinking Do Some People See The PresidentPrime Minister As Some Kind Of Parental Figure

Critical Thinking Do

Image source: https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-m80YlEhFYXQ/VdokOtMPwvI/AAAAAAAAA6Q/2SkfhfkVJ0g/w620-h620/6-critical-thinking-questions-you-should-ask.gif

Before an election takes place, each candidate will do what they can to get people to vote for them; with their intention being to be the next president/prime minster. This is not to say that every candidate has a chance though, as it is not going to be this black and white.

The Favourites

There is a strong chance that one candidate will be the favourite, or it could be between two people. Still, this doesnt mean that everyone will have this viewpoint; there are likely to be people who believe that this is not the case.

The average person on the street can believe that a certain candidate will win the election; whereas the experts on TV can believe that it is going to be someone else. It would then be easy to overlook what this person believes and to go along with what the experts have to say.

A Hidden Agenda

However, even though what these people say can be taken as the truth, there can be more to it. What one could find is that the news source that has one candidate down to win is actually supporting them.

It will then seem as though this source is reporting on what is taking place, but they are going to be creating their own news. Through creating fake news, they will try to influence the outcome.

Psychological Warfare

When the mainstream media takes this approach, it can be seen as way for them to undermine the morale of the people who are voting for another candidate. And it could be said that if someone wants to find out who the globalists want in power, they only need to see which candidate the mainstream media is supporting.

What can also take place is that this can cause one to encourage other people to vote for the candidate who appears to be losing. So instead allowing this to get them down, it can give them the desire to take action.

One Outlook

If one was to vote for someone, it might come down to the fact that they are not too impressed with the other candidates. This could show that they expect too much, or it could be a sign that the candidates on offer leave a lot to be desired.

One could, of course, not even bother to vote, but they could feel the need to play their part. Also, voting for one candidate can be seen as a way to make sure that another candidate doesnt win.

Another Outlook

At the same time, it could be because they believe this is someone who will change everything for the better. This is then going to be someone who is radically different to the other candidates.

So, no matter what their life is like now, they are going to believe that it will change if this candidate wins the election. There could be other people in their life who also have the same viewpoint.

A Saviour

Consequently, this is not someone who can only do so much; this is someone who has the power to transform their life. In fact, one could believe that the only way their life will change if this person wins the election.

One will have elevated this person to such a high position that it will be as if they are more-than human. This candidate will have all the power and they wont be able to do anything to change their circumstances.

A Superior Being

One way of looking at this would be to say that one sees this candidate as some kind of god. It is then going to be normal for them to feel inferior to someone who they believe has the power to change their life.

If this candidate wins their life will be fine, but if this doesnt happen it is going to be hard for them to handle what happens. One could end up feeling depressed (thats if they dont already feel this way) and they could have moments when they are filled with rage.

A Closer Look

Another way of looking at this would be to say that one feels like a powerless child, and this is why they have put this candidate on a pedestal. And as they feel this way, it is to be expected that they will see this candidate as an all powerful parent figure.

When one feels this way, it can show that they didnt receive the kind of care that they needed when they were younger; the trouble is that this time it is unlikely to be any different. Even if this candidate wins the election, it is highly likely that they will be let down all over again.

One Option

For one thing, these candidates rarely do what they say they are going to do, and even if they did, it doesnt mean that their life would be perfect. Ultimately, if one is not happy with their life, it is up to them to change it.

If one feels powerless and as though they have no control over their life, it doesnt mean that this is the truth. What it can show is that they have negative beliefs and they could be carrying trauma.

Conclusion

When one feels like a powerless, dependent child, it can show that they were abused and/or neglected during their early years. This would have been a time when they were powerless, but this is not longer the case.

If one can relate to this, and they want to change their life, they may need to reach out for external support. This is something that can be provided by the assistance of a therapist or a healer.

Crash A Movie Review

Crash A Movie Review

Image source: https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjswllc5Ccg8LWeopasVID1mFoIApMrkE5FWjH8IMmOD5wqjQCqihOt4Lr82ZNIHaTt5TUbN8CIUA1YxTflWiLed8spUJuzplLi03AdapeWnDSwQmbSGwwbyEqoYitr8ejMrFBcTfTkYoM/s1600/crash_ver6_xlg.jpg

Crash tells the interlocking stories of people of different ethnic backgrounds. Whites, blacks,Koreans,Latinos,Iranians, the police and the criminals, the rich and poor, and the powerful and the less fortunate.Directed by Paul Haggis this film had a budget of only $6 million dollars. Haggis had to use his own house for scenes and actually used his own vehicle for other scenes.

This Paul Haggis film, written with Robert Moresco, uses interlocking stories to show we are in the same boat, that prejudice flows freely from one ethnic group to another. His stories are a series of contradictions in which the same people can be sinned against or sinning There was once a simple morality formula in America in which white society were the racist and the blacks were victims, but that model is long obsolete in this ever diversified nation that we now live in. Different ethnic people have entered the game: Latinos, Asians, Muslims, and those defined by sexual orientation, income, education or appearance. The narrative in Crash shifts between 5 or 6 different groups of seemingly unconnected characters, whose relationships to each other are only revealed in the end.

A rising young district attorney (Brendan Fraser) gets carjacked and despairs that the perpetrators had to be black. His pampered wife (Sandra Bullock, who's barely in the movie, retreats behind a wall of privileged paranoia, taking it out on Daniel (Michael Pena), a Mexican locksmith with jailhouse tattoos. Daniel, of course, is a sweet-natured husband and father struggling to get his family to a neighborhood where the gunfire doesn't pop all night. He also struggles to keep his cool when dealing with Farhad (Shaun Toub), an Iranian shopkeeper who understands English only as it suits him and is so convinced the world is ripping him off that he buys a gun against the wishes of his upscale daughter (Bahar Soomekh). Most central to the movie's harrowing vision are two LAPD cops, the venomously racist Ryan (Matt Dillon) and the good-hearted rookie Hanson (Ryan Phillippe). We first meet them as Ryan decides to pull over a Lincoln Navigator in which yuppie film director Cameron (TerrenceHoward) and his wife Christine (Thandie Newton) are engaged in a bit of horseplay.

The scene gets ugly and Dillon turns Ryan into a genuinely hateful man. So it's a shock when''Crash" humanizes the cop later in the game. That becomes the film's central theme. The director dares us to assume we know. [Cameron is further humiliated on a film set by his producer (Tony Danza)]

Moral issues has been put forth beautifully in the film. We can feel Christine's humiliation and be sympathetic towards Cameron. This movie will shed some light on racism and prejudice and let the world know that there are many many untold stories such as 'Christine's and 'Cameron's' in modern America. Don Cheadle's performance as Graham, the police detective who connects the story's tangents and who becomes the film's weary heart is outstanding. You get a sense of LA's racial gridlock in his scenes.

This movie can make you laugh, cry as well as sympathize towards many of the characters, on comparison with the real life situation. Paul Haggis's film has to be applauded for making such an intense, honest, powerful, memorable and enlightening film. I believe that his film has to be one of the most interesting and thought provoking films that I have ever seen.

Choosing And Buying Inexpensive Laminated Flooring

Choosing And Buying Inexpensive Laminated Flooring

A laminate floor is a composite floor with either a chipboard or HDF core, bonded to a film of wood-effect veneer and covered with a laminated surface. Although it may look like wood veneer flooring, it's not. Most laminate floors feature a photographic representation of wood grain and, unlike wood veneers, laminates cannot be sanded or refurbished once it starts to show wear.

In terms of aesthetic appeal, it's hard to beat laminates or wood-look overlay floors. They offer great value, plus they're warm underfoot, flexible and have their good looks last a long time. However, the wide range of laminate flooring available can be somewhat confusing - to properly choose the right laminate flooring to buy, you need to understand what flooring will best suit your needs.

Whether you're constructing a new house or just remodeling, laminate can offer unique, attractive flooring - especially in high-traffic areas. And if you love how real hardwood looks but don't like the high cost, laminate floors can provide the same look for a much lower price. The best thing about laminate floors is that they can be installed easily by the homeowner.

Laminate floors were invented in Europe and are now a popular flooring choice for North American consumers who can choose from a huge assortment of manufacturers offering diverse styles and colors. Laminate flooring is available in various plank widths and square-tile sizes to suit different floor measurements. The designs include realistic hardwood, stone and tile..

Most manufacturers of laminate flooring use sophisticated computer technology to develop realistic designs, and the top layer -- the "wear layer" -- is incredibly durable. Laminate flooring is resistant to most stains, spills, burns and scratches.

Laminate floors are "floated" over most common substrates, such as concrete, plywood, and even other floor coverings. The planks and tiles have edges that lock together, but aren't secured to the subfloor.

There are also some laminate floors that don't require glue at all and simply snap together. Glueless installation makes laminate floors easy to install, with no professional assistance needed. Some brands come pre-glued from the factory and only require a little moisture to activate the adhesive.

Where to buy inexpensive laminated flooring

Some of the most popular and affordable laminate flooring is made by Mohawk, Pergo, Mannington, Wilsonart, Armstrong, Shaw, Quick-Step, Witex and Alloc. Laminate flooring is widely available from retailers in your area, or you can search for flooring online. You can find great deals on the Internet, since many Internet dealers don't have the same overhead expenses as local flooring retailers.

For an instance, you can shoot a period of time when you finally fulfilled the task which you thought it was mission impossible initially. Ask your friends to join your filmmaking team. And then all of you can search for interesting materials for the film together, including reading magazines, searching the internet or doing brainstorming. These moments are precious memories when you finished the short film. Besides the film footage, you also need to choose good background music, which can emphasize the mood of the short movie.

Addition to the drama, many people also like to shoot a short comedy. If you tell a really funny joke or story, then everyone will be amused by the short film. You can create original jokes or just make some adjustments to some classical jokes. There are many funny things in everyday life, and you can collect different materials and sort them into a unique joke. You can either make a silent comedy or a dialogue-driven comedy. Cannabis vs Hemp: Differences You Should Know About

With all the recent talk of the legalization of marijuana in over half of the country, more people are talking about the plant than ever.

But these discussions also lead to some pretty bad misinformation. Namely, there seems to be a common misconception that marijuana and hemp are the same things.

And while they do share some basic elements in common, this couldnt be further from the truth. From their respective uses to state laws, were breaking down the biggest differences between cannabis vs hemp.

Cannabis vs Hemp: Whats the Difference?

Using Cannabis

Well get this one out of the way: Yes, cannabis is mainly used for smoking. That isnt to say that recreational enjoyment is its ONLY purpose. Far from it, in fact. Yet, it is the key reason people harvest and use the plant.

Traditionally, marijuana is ingested in one of a few ways.

First is the standard smoking method. This one likely doesnt need an explanation. Its been around for thousands of years.

Next, some users tend to prefer the concentrated properties of THC oil. It contains tons of health benefits that are known to help cancer, anxiety, and seizures. In fact, THC oil can even be made into a skin cream to treat extreme cases of inflammation.

But the simplest ingestion method involves making edibles. A user creates a baked good and adds trace amounts of cannabis to the recipe.

Growing Cannabis

Cannabis is far more difficult to grow than hemp. It requires the right amount of light with the perfect temperature.

Speaking of plant growth, another key difference is size. And while cannabis and hemp look quite similar, there are some easy ways to tell them apart.

Cannabis plants are often smaller, shorter, and wider than hemp plants. If youre looking for a distinction, think of it this way: Cannabis grows out while hemp grows up.

Using Hemp

If cannabis is known as the recreational plant, hemp is its industrial brother.

Records show that hemp has been a massive staple in everything from clothing to buildings for centuries. Thanks to its long, thick fibers, hemp extract is an ideal choice for making some of the following:

Rope
Paper and cardboard
Fabrics
Bed sheets
Plastic
Fuel

There are so many uses for hemp that its become one of the worlds leading resources!

Lets look at paper production, for instance. Its estimated that one acre of hemp can produce as much as two to four acres of trees. Its literally a greener solution to manufacturing.

And while youre free to ingest it, youre not going to get the same experience as cannabis. While hemp does contain an amount of THC, it doesnt compare to the amount found in cannabis leaves.

Growing Hemp

Unlike cannabis, hemp is known to be far more forgiving in terms of production and growth. It requires less upkeep, nutrition, and maintenance.

Believe it or not, hemp extract is even healthy. Hemp seeds are high in protein as well as omegas 2 and 3, so sprinkle some on your salad next time you need more protein.

Cannabis vs Hemp: A Final Note

One final note: Both are technically classified as a drug. So, before you go about setting up your hemp crop, check with your states laws and regulations.

Each plant has its own distinct advantages. Cannabis, on one hand, is great for medical and recreational uses. In contrast, hemp is an industrial giant, playing a part in many products we love today.

Some might think of cannabis vs hemp as a competition. However, the reality is that both are great complements to each other.

Candid vs. Classy Wedding Photographer Who to Choose

Candid vs. Classy Wedding Photographer Who to Choose

Wedding photographers are those special people who participate in hundreds of weddings, see all details and document them with a camera. They are those magic fairies who will help you recollect those special feelings and emotions from the magical day of your wedding. If you are interested in documenting your wedding and ensuring that even after dozens of years you will be interested in your wedding photos, then looking for a special professional wedding photographer is of utmost importance for you.

There are two main umbrella terms for photography in general, namely candid and traditional. If you have never heard them before, its even better because below you can find extensive explanation of these terms and several tips on how to choose among wedding photographers and different styles they offer.

The Difference

Candid and traditional photography is just the use of elaborate language. In reality candid photography involves a photographer who takes pictures of you and your friends when you are not aware of it. Candid wedding photographers usually catch such deep emotions and take unexpected shots. Their work is always very deep and often is a combination of luck, experience and unusual composition of the image. Wedding photographers working within this genre frame generally are those unseen professionals who move around  the wedding party and take photos of the events right as they happen without any possible preparation or rehearsals at all.

A lot of people choose candid wedding photographers because they are able to catch those hidden emotions that may come to the surface only for a second. Such photography also creates more relaxed and lively photos for the wedding album if compared to traditional photo approach. When people dont know that they are being photographed, they usually convey emotions more open and in a more truthful way so you can later observe the true moments of happiness on your guests faces.

Traditional photography is the one we are used to during photo sessions. This is a more formal approach to the way and means the wedding photos are taken. When a wedding photographer works within the candid photography approach, he or she capture those perfect moments in order to create a magical shot; in traditional photography those perfect moments are not caught, but created to receive best shots by means of experience and not just luck. In this photography people on photos can have their hair and makeup fixed, assistants help to put dresses in the right way, create simple positions for the people on the photos to ensure that everything looks perfect on the shot.

Traditional photography approach is often very appreciated by the elderly family member who prefer getting themselves together for one great shot instead of a hundred of wasted ones.

So Whats Better?

So now the question is what approach to choose for your wedding day? What kind of wedding photographer to look for?

The answer is simple look for a one-size-fits-all photographer who will be able to make traditional shots at your wedding photo shooting and at the same time will catch the true hidden emotions on your faces during the reception. In case you can hire two wedding photographers or get one with an assistant, you will get the best results. In such a situation one of the photographers will deal with traditional shots for every wedding guest to ensure that each and every of your guests receives at least one great picture from the wedding. The second photographer of the assistant at the same time will be hunting for the true emotions and will likely to succeed because while youre occupied with smiling to the first camera, the second one can catch everything in between.

Hiring two photographers can help you create two wedding albums one to show your kids and family, and the second one with funny faces and open emotions for the home use only.

You can teach your kids a new activity, the ones that are old enough that is, and enjoy the sunshine and sea air all at the same time.
Day Trips

Professional charters can be booked for an entire day or just half of your Saturday or Sunday. If you only go out for half or three-quarters of the day, you can book some other fun stuff to do once youve caught a few Mahi or trout. Or, have a family brunch at everyones favorite pancake house prior to heading out to sea dont forget the motion sickness pills and then see how many shallow or deep-sea swimmers you can catch for dinner that night.

A Different Kind of Fun

Even though they enjoy it once they get there, your kids are likely bored with going to the beach or park. There are only so many movies you can take them, too, and you really dont want to see the same film multiple times. Taking them out on Canaveral fishing charters gives you a different kind of fun, and it teaches them a new skill as well. You and your kids can enjoy the rest and recreation of fishing, and if you dont think its a workout, think again.

If youve seen fishing competitions on television, you know some of these anglers are huge; as much as 50 to 100 pounds! You and your kids will have the fight of your life trying to reel one of these babies in.So, yes, it really is a workout. Once you bring the catch home, send your husband and the boys to the garage to clean it, and then you and the girls cook it. Or, switch the responsibilities if you want to. Who says the women cant gut and the men cant cook?

Bring Along Additional Family and Friends

This trip doesnt have to be limited to just your immediate family, although it is a good way to bond and catch up with each other. You can also invite the grandparents and your friends. Better yet, invite some your kids friends to come along, as this will make your little ones more excited about the prospect of spending the day fishing. This is a perfect group activity as well, so invite as many people as the charter boat can safely and legally handle.

If youre looking for something different for your family to do this weekend, Canaveral fishing charters provides an outdoor activity that is fun and gets everyone away from their screens and out to sea. The air will refresh the body, mind and spirit, and once youre out on the water, the little ones will stop complaining and start fishing. Book your family excursion today with a professional charter company.

Can I Make My Husband Love Me Again - Help For The Unloved Wife

Can I Make My Husband Love Me Again - Help For The Unloved Wife

Every marriage hits a rough patch now and then, but if yours seems like there is just no love on your husband's part then you need to find the answer to "Can I make my husband love me again"
The first thing I want to mention is the possibility that your husband does still love you but is not doing such a hot job of showing it. Has he told you he does not love you, or has he been extraordinarily preoccupied with other problems at his job or in life?

There can be negative ramifications to approaching the problem of not feeling loved the wrong way. Your husband may be offended or driven away if you treat him like he does not love you, when he just is not showing it. The proper approach, that we will discuss here, has an excellent chance of working either way.

When you ask "can I make my husband love me again" you are offering an active approach on your part to win back his love. Are you ready for the work? Some of this may hurt a bit or be uncomfortable at times. The result, though, should be worth it when you again feel his love for you like you did before.

Tip #1: See yourself from his viewpoint. We all have a tendency to seem perfect, or close to, in our own eyes, but usually look quite different from our spouse's perspective.

Try to understand what is going on in his life to see what external factors may be affecting the marriage. This can be stress factors at work, or even a situation where he is surrounded by young, attractive women who look up to him and maybe even flirt with him.

Then think about how you may have changed since you last felt his love for you was strong. Are you more preoccupied with your job, kids or friends? Do you show him the attention you used to?

Tip #2: Analyze your own issues. With the information you determined from the first tip, are there changes you need to be making in your life before you are ready to mention any of this to him?

Are there ways you can treat him more like you did when you first fell in love and that you know will ignite a response in him?

Tip #3: Discuss the problem with your husband. You can begin by asking him if there is something bothering him or if there is some reason that he seems to be unhappy. Mention that it seems the unhappiness is directed, at least in part, at you and the marriage and ask if you have done something to cause this.

Reassure him that you are still in love with him, care for him and that his happiness is important to you. Then give him a chance to talk, hopefully he will. He may even tell you that he is still in love with you, or maybe not.

If he does not respond then let him know, in a gentle manner, that you just do not feel the love he once had toward you. Most husbands would become very concerned after a discussion like this.

Tip #4: Give him time to let this discussion sink in and understand everything you said. Do not demand a response from him immediately, let him mull it over.

In the meantime, treat him specially, like you used to. Make his favorite meals, do not nag about the "honey-do" list that may not be tended to very well. Continue to treat him with love and respect and give him a chance to respond.

"Can I make my husband love me again" is a complex question. If you are serious about saving your marriage, though, a question you need to get the answer for.

Battlestar Galactica Razor Shows Past of Cain and Adama

Battlestar Galactica Razor Shows Past of Cain and Adama

The special two hours of television film which also is part of the final season is Battlestar Galactica Razor, an attempt to be a stand-alone story but serves to connect the gap between the abrupt end of season 3 and the start of season 4. Coincidentally, Razor serves as the first few episodes of the season, dwelling on some back story including a peek at the past where Admiral Adama was still a hotshot Viper pilot.

Major Kendra Shaw is Lee Adama's new XO is troubled by her past. Serving under Admiral Cain, Shaw has problems with her memories inhumane sacrifices. Admiral Helena was able to save her ship from the Cylons but this was at the expense of Shaw and her fellow officers committing atrocious war crimes against innocent people and employing suicidal tactics and strategy. Shaw acted with hesitance but it was, as she was advised, for the benefit of them all. In the midst of a real war, Shaw must deprive herself of all reluctance and doubts she must become "a razor," as metaphorically used by veterans of the Colonies.

The events of Battlestar Galactica Razor centers on the final day of the 1st Cylon war, with Lieutenant William Adama who was a Viper pilot and a young Helena Cain. Tragedies occurred in both their lives, shown through flashbacks. Adama discovered a Cylon lab where humans are experimented on. He wasnt able to free the prisoners. Cain abandons her little sister due to the war and cannot find her anymore. Although these both are scarring experiences, the advice they both gave were in deep contrast with each other. Cain teaches Shaw to become emotionless, to become as sharp as a cutting tool, never looking back, always separating whatever she comes into contact with. Adama on the other hand taught his son Lee that even as pilots and partakers of warm, they cannot be merely like butchers.

While Cains view has become somewhat jaded, Adama view was not. Shaw followed Cains advice and was literally a razor. Everything was and can be sacrificed in this time of war and chaos. But the thing about razors is that they can cut both sides. It does not discriminate; it just cuts and whatever is separated is serrated so fine that sometimes the cut is unnoticeable. But the damage cause can no longer be undone, both to the cut material and the one who cut.

This special television film is a vital to better understand the link not only between the seasons and the things to happen in season four but also to better comprehend the nature of Cains protg and Adamas way of thinking. The Cylon War has ravaged and damaged most of humanity, but the most troubling damage it has caused has something to do with the minds and hearts of the human beings who have survived. Some people may even go far to say that some of the human survivors, in order to truly survive, had to willingly lose some parts of their humanity. Most of the survivors are vague semblances of their former human selves, though others like Adama strive to maintain the difference between them and the Cylons in Battlestar Galactica Razor.

Bad Breath Remedies and Home Medicine For Halitosis

Bad Breath Remedies and Home Medicine For Halitosis

Bad breath is caused by odor producing bacteria in the mouth. There are certain food products like garlic and onion that are responsible for bad breath. The most common cause of bad breath is bad teeth. If you have dental decay at the roots of the teeth, then it is likely that you will suffer from bad breath.

What causes halitosis or bad breath?

There are a number of causes of bad breath, including:

* Poor oral hygiene
* Gum disease (e.g. gum boils, abscesses, spongy gums, gingivitis)
* Multiplication of odor-causing bacteria in the mouth and digestive tract
* Candidiasis
* Chronic sinus infection
* Certain medications (especially those that cause dry mouth as a side effect)
* Smoking

Possible Symptoms of Bad Breath / Halitosis

The main symptom of bad breath is an odor that usually comes from the far back region of the tongue and grows stronger when the person talks. Bad breath is often accompanied by a foul taste in the mouth. The odor can vary from barely noticeable to overwhelming depending on the cause and proximity to the person.

There are a variety of herbal mixtures for bad breath to help eliminate the problem.

* Drinking plenty of water daily will help to control bad breath. Dehydration will attempt to conserve moisture by reducing the salivary flow, which minimizes the saliva's cleansing effects on bacteria which is a cause of bad breath.

* Clean your tongue with a special tongue scraper in order to remove bacteria.

* Brush your teeth at least twice daily, or after every meal is even more effective.

* Clean your teeth and tongue with baking soda to receive fresh breath. Or rinse the tongue with baking soda that has been dissolved in a little warm water.

* Eat plain yogurt for a six week period, as this can help to eliminate bad breath, as it decreases the levels of offensive compounds produced by bacteria in the mouth by 80%.

* Gargle with a glass of water which has the juice of half a lemon added.

* Brushing your gums and tongue with powdered cloves is another herbal mixture for bad breath.

* If you suffer from bad breath, then try to avoid foods such as: blue cheese, salami, tuna, curry, garlic, onions, anchovies, red meat, milk, coffee and cola.

* A natural deodorizer is parsley, and cardamom seeds help to sweeten the breath.

* Another bad breath reducer is fennel tea. The compounds that are found in the tea can decrease bacteria growth that causes bad breath.

* Cranberries fight offensive-smelling bacteria.

* Eat a green raw Guava in order to fight against bad breath.

* Cloves can be kept under the molars without chewing in order to keep your breath fresh.

* Alfalfa tablets may help eliminate bad breath.

* Anise Chew anise, cardamom, dill or fennel seeds to help mask odors. Anise, the licorice-flavored seed, kills the bacteria that cause odor.

* Chlorophyll Try liquid or chlorophyll tablets which you can buy at your pharmacy. Chlorophyll has a deodorizing effect and is used in a number of products for that purpose.

In order to prevent bad breath, oral hygiene is essential. Use a good quality mouthwash every day along with brushing. Be sure to rinse with the mouthwash for a minimum of two minutes for maximum effect. It is also advised to change your toothbrush every three months. Always consult your doctor before taking any remedy or supplement on an ongoing basis, particularly if you are pregnant or have other health issues.

Are Actors Paid Too Much For Movies

Are Actors Paid Too Much For Movies

Image source: http://sbt.blob.core.windows.net/storyboards/renatosilva23/are-actors-and-professional-athletes-paid-too-much-.png?utc=130690942835330000

Movies have came along way as an industry much like any other random business
in life. They have gone from the days of the crank camera to the massive
productions assisted by 'more than it's share' of computer generated imagery.

We know today that there are distinctive levels of demand via the general public
for various actors, and as with anything demand based, there is a price
associated with it. Moreover, it's very similar to the sports world. If a
quarterback comes off the bench to replace a veteran for a season and does
quite well, he can become a free agent the subsequent season and create his own
asking price.

The same holds true for the actor. They can be placed into a movie as a rookie
of sorts and have a shining performance along with the movie doing well via
ticket sales. This inevitably rises their value whether fully established as a
legitimate box office actor or not.

Therefore, the question is are actors paid too much for movies generally

speaking? Many people will take the stance that if the market bears that price
for that specific name, then no they are not overpaid. However, we all know
that this so called 'market' can be so skewed and hard to interpret, that many
minimum price per picture actors use it to inflate their value.

Just as with anything, established actors with many proven movies under their
belt should be at the top of the totem pole. As for the others, there should be
a cap of sorts set even if it's merely 'in house' whereby actors can only demand
a set amount and nothing greater until they have reached a certain level.

Again, this is no different than in sports where a pitcher may be highly drafted
and have never pitched a major league game in his life, but be paid extremely
high even before stepping onto the mound.

Performance is underrated in many aspects in life and actors salaries in new
movies is certainly no exception. If you have the time or inclination, take a

look at an actor or actresses asking salary next time before going to their
film and determine whether you think they are worth that number or not.

You just may find yourself wondering if they are being paid too much!

Arch Bonnema - Christian Entrepreneur and Philanthropist

Arch Bonnema -

. ---By Julie Lyons Arch Bonnemas mission couldnt be plainer. It encircles the towering ceiling of his McKinney home, inscribed in gold letters: Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress Though Bonnema, 56, has launched several successful businesses and played an important role in the early success of the film The Passion of the Christhe purchased all of the seats in Planos Cinemark Tinseltown 20 for opening day, and gave away the 6,000 ticketsorphan homes are the focus of his time and money today. Since 1991, he and his wife, Sherry, have tithed a minimum of 50 percent of their finances and work hours to missions, including their own ministry, My House. Theyve partnered with longstanding local ministries in Uganda, Kenya, India, and Ethiopia to build orphan homes centered around churches and to staff them with widows, explicitly following the words of James 1:27 etched inside his home. The decision to give on such a scale came 17 years ago after he and his wife attended a missions conference. They were driving home from Georgia on Bonnemas motorcycle, communicating by helmet-mounted radios. Wed been silent for quite a while, Arch says, and I said, You know, honey, I have to admit Ive been kinda feeling lately that we ought to increase our commitment from 35 to 50 percent. I hardly got done saying that, and she says, Gods been telling me that for months. I was just waiting for you to confirm it with me. Bonnemas response echoes what many Christians have believed in recent yearsonly to find their fortunes shrink drastically during the recession. The whole time youre thinking, WowGod is gonna really bless us now. But it doesnt always work that way. If you give, God doesnt always give back right away. Thats what the prosperity message got wrong. There were times when my wife and I gave significantly and went through the biggest hardships, but we kept on giving. We still survived. It might have been a year or two later, but God gave us a tremendous blessing. In Archs and Sherrys case, their decision to tithe lavishly was followed by the loss of their savings and other assetsjust about everything but their home. They even sold their last car, a two-year-old Cadillac, so they could keep the pledges theyd made to ministries. We gave everything we had, including cashing in our retirement, to make sure that our promises to missions were fulfilled, Arch says. Its not that my business dropped off, but I spent less time doing it, and my income droppedwhile my giving increased, percentage-wise. No problem, we thought. Well just sell this. We dont need that anyway. Its more important we fulfill our commitment to God. It wasnt until we had given away pretty much everything we had over a span of six years when, all of a sudden, everything just reversed faster. God started building my businesses faster than I ever could have imagined. Within two years I had more money than I ever had in my whole life. Today, Arch has set aside Joshua Financial, the trust company from which he prospered for many yearschanging tax laws eliminated much of the business--to invest in enterprises such as the buying and re-selling of electricity and hydrogen technology. Bonnema has also launched expeditions to search for Noahs Ark and the Ark of the Covenant. (Both of those ventures are documented on his Web site, www.cometomyhouse.org.) Arch joins in business with kindred spirits, Christian entrepreneurs with a passion for missions and ministry. You want to have people surrounding you who are like-minded, he says. Theres an old saying, Its not what you know; its who you know. But I think there is a more correct saying: Its who knows you. What is your reputation? If you develop a good track record, they come find you. Bonnema applies the same principle to building orphan homes. He works only with ministries that have worked with orphans for years on their own, doing a really good job. My House builds new and better facilities so the ministries can expand their work. The goal, he says, is that the orphan home is independent of outside aid within three or four years. Once we build it, he says, we give it to them. Right now, My House sponsors four orphan homes in India, two in Ethiopia, one in Kenya, and one in Uganda, all in rural areas. Four other orphan homes are under construction; the Bonnemas hope to build 10 in 2010. Over the years, My House has encountered its share of scammersjust people who want money, Bonnema says. Its just as bad in the U.S. as it is over there. Bonnema has developed a mottoWe inspect what we expect. My House personnel are on the ground talking to people before the organization builds, checking out the credentials of local ministries and talking to pastors, mayors, and community leaders. We make sure they have a good reputation for taking care of kids, he says. Bonnemas passion for orphans has unlikely roots in the Minnesota farming community of Prinsburg, population 450, where he grew up. His grandfather, a farmer for many years and later a very successful businessman, entertained a constant stream of visitors from overseasmissionaries and pastors, to whom he gave much of his money. He felt the best gift he had was he knew how to do good business. He knew about the world, because everybody came to visit him. He was very generous. They were expecting to see some big tycoon, but he had a very modest house. He lived in a very small town. He just gave away an enormous amount. Faith pervaded the Bonnema family, which prayed and read Scripture at every meal, three times a day, and attended the Christian Reformed church together. I grew up in a family where all my relatives were strong, committed Christians, says Bonnema, now a member of Prestonwood Baptist Church. When I reached an age of understanding, at 7 or 8, I committed my life to Christ. At 19, Bonnema walked around the world with a backpack and sleeping bag, traversing remote and war-torn countries, including Vietnam. He visited Israel in 1973, right after it went to war with Egypt. In Bombay, India, he got so sick he prayed to die. In Hong Kong he started a Youth for Christ chapter that still exists today. Throughout his journey, he learned to rely on God in everything. James chapter 1 says if your life is full of difficulties and temptations, be happy, Bonnema says. I remember reading that when I was 16, thinking, boy, did they ever mistranslate this. How can you be happy when life is full of difficulties and temptations? Because you learn to trust God. Thats when you really build your faith. Crossing the world with little money or status allowed him to see reality in the countries he visited, where no one was trying to impress him. He avoided the big cities and wandered through rural areas, where you really see the people. He witnessed poverty and oppression, degradation and violence. As well as people with few possessions who took inexplicable joy in their love for God. Thats where my heart was first touched by the orphans and widows, he says. I saw a different world than the one I lived in. It did two things: It tremendously increased my passion for ministry. I saw how easy it is to change lives, compared to the U.S. When you see how easy it is to make a difference, it makes you want to do more. And it really opened my eyes so that Im a good steward. Its not about just writing a check. Its like the parable of the good seeds. Its giving to the right place at the right time. Over the years, Bonnema has visited 93 countries, all but one with his wife. That one country was Iran, where he believes his team found the petrified remains of Noahs Ark in 2006. Hes also witnessed first-hand the worlds problem with orphans; according to the World Health Organization, the number of orphans has doubled in the last five years, and only one-tenth of one percent are ever adopted. Yet more than 90 percent of the money spent on orphans is directed to the adoption process. A Kenyan bishop who visited him recently represented the alternative that My House seeks: He described how he could build an orphan home housing a dozen children as well as a widow to take care of them for as little as $20,000. The facility would include separate rooms for boys and girls as well as a kitchen and bathroom. Whats interesting is for centuries, thats what the church did. We took care of orphans and widows, Bonnema says. Now, we let the government do it. E-mail Julie Lyons at therealbiblegirl@gmail.com.

Ancient Greek Pottery

Ancient Greek Pottery

The pottery of ancient Greece is one of the most tangible and iconic elements of ancient Greek art. The colorful vases and pots of the ancient Greeks have survived in large numbers and are today highly prized as collectors items.

Ancient Greeks made pottery for everyday use, not for display, the trophies won at games such as the Panathenaic amphorae (used for storage), are the exception. Most surviving pottery consists of drinking vessels such as amphorae, kraters (bowls for mixing wine and water), hydria (water jars), libation bowls, jugs and cups. Painted funeral urns have also been found. Miniatures were also produced in large numbers, mainly for use as offerings at temples. In the Hellenistic period a wider range of pottery was produced, but most of it is of little artistic importance.

In earlier periods event quite small Greek city-states produced pottery for their own locale. These varied widely in style and standards. Distinctive pottery that ranks as art was produced on some of the Aegean islands, in Crete, and in the wealthy Greek colonies of southern Italy and Sicily. By the later Archaic and early Classical period, however, the two great commercial powers, Corinth and Athens, came to dominate. Their pottery was exported all over the Greek world, driving out the local varieties. Pots from Corinth and Athens are found as far a field as Spain and Ukraine, and are so common in Italy that they were first collected in the 18th century as "Etruscan vases". Many of these pots are mass produced products of low quality. In fact, by the 5th century BC, pottery had become an industry and pottery painting ceased to be an important art form of ancient Greece.

The history of ancient Greek pottery is divided stylistically into periods: The Protogeometric from about 1050 BC. The Geometric from about 900 BC. The Archaic from about 750 BC. The Black figure from the early 7th century BC. The Red figure from about 530 BC.

The range of colors which could be used on pots was restricted by the technology of firing: black, white, red and yellow were the most common. In the three earlier periods, the pots were left their natural light color, and were decorated with slip that turned black in the kiln.

The fully mature black-figure technique, with added red and white details and incising for outlines and details, originated in Corinth during the early 7th century BC and was introduced into Attica about a generation later; it flourished until the end of the 6th century BC. The red-figure technique, invented in about 530 BC, reversed this tradition, with the pots being painted black and the figures painted in red. Red-figure vases slowly replaced the black-figure style. Sometimes larger vessels were engraved as well as painted.

An Introduction to Township Art

An Introduction to Township Art

In its original and purest form, dating back to the 1920's, South African Township Art was effectively art of defiance. Formerly known as Struggle or Resistance Art', Township Art was a vivid depiction of the terrible transgressions of colonialism and apartheid.

One of the lynchpins of the apartheid regime was separate development for the different racial groups. Non-whites were forced to live in townships which had few, if any, amenities. In a measured reaction to European influences, black artists chose to illustrate their own realities in bold and colourful brush strokes.

The founding fathers of Township Art

Two emerging black artists, who effectively alerted the world to the wonder of Township Art, were Gerard Sekoto and George Pemba.

Prolific in the 1930's, Sekoto created a colourful history of urban African life in Sophiatown and District Six. Today, Sekoto is one of the most sought-after South African artists, with his work regularly fetching hundreds of thousands of dollars!

George Pemba's naive expressionism, born in the Motherwell Township close to Port Elizabeth, continues to delight art connoisseurs. His work commands prices ranging from R200 000 to almost R1 million.

Poverty led to exploration and expression with new media

Extreme poverty was a major catalyst for the emergence of a number of new, flamboyant Township Art genres. Oil paints were simply not affordable to most township inhabitants and instead they had to innovate with new media.

Dumile Feni, the Goya of the Townships' will long be remembered for his outstanding contributions to African art, all tooled with the sole assistance of a ballpoint pen!

John Muafangejo and Azaria Mbatha will go down in the annals of South African art history as the innovators of the linocut whereas Ephraim Ngatane & Durant Sihlali join the ranks of outstanding watercolourists.

A nation's loss

Sadly, many original artworks were intentionally destroyed by the fascist South African security forces, denying future generations a unique glimpse into the past.

Foreign diplomats and other international visitors took it upon themselves to salvage as much of the Struggle Art as possible by buying up pieces in the townships and smuggling them out of the country. In the decade post-apartheid, a concerted effort was made to repatriate these national treasures.

The Rainbow Nation' in full blush

Since freedom, Township Art, together with the rest of South African society, has evolved. Instead of the desperation and hopelessness of the past, black artists are now creating art synonymous with the new South Africa - bright, colourful and diverse.

Recycled plastic bags, old bicycle spokes and even discarded soft drink cans are modelled to create unique works of art which admirably depict the rainbow nation in full blush.

Today, Township Art is not the exclusive domain of black township dwellers. Its distinctive style has been embraced by the likes of Frank Ross, Benjamin Mitchley, Katherine Ambrose and Mauro Chiarla, to name but a few.

South Africa's unprecedented cultural diversity ensures a rich and ever changing tapestry of arts and crafts. Fine Art Portfolio provides a sample of their township art for sale on their online art gallery.

America's Endless Obsession with Hollywood

America's Endless Obsession with Hollywood

Have you ever wondered what it is about these Hollywood stars that give them the demi-god status in your lives? You admire and hero-worship them. Love them and even envy their glory. More than your own life you are interested by what is happening in their lives.

Few people debate America's infatuation with Hollywood and the stars; one only needs to watch television to see how movie stars and celebrities dominate the airways and just about everything we see. Even the popular fashion magazines feature movie stars on the cover; super models no longer grace the front and have instead been banished to the back pages. We see movie stars and celebrities everywhere, but what exactly makes these people so fascinated?

Much of this has to do with looks and public relations skills. Many Hollywood actors are prepped and preened before any public appearances. They look flawless. Everything from their hair styles to the makeup they wear, to the designer size 0 duds on their back, it all makes many people feel inferior and in awe of the rich and famous. They have things that many of us could never dream of owning.

Watching our favorite Hollywood stars in films and on television also can give people the mistaken impression that they know what a person is like. They can feel a sort of camaraderie to certain actors. However, in reality move stars have private lives as well as we really don't know what they could be like on a personal level, no matter how many interviews of them we've seen.

Hitting big time in Hollywood is based on good luck and pure timing. As a Hollywood actor to get yourself meaty roles you have to know the right people and be in the right place at the right time. Dazzling good looks will also go far in getting you noticed.

This also extends to musicians. Just take a look at all of multi-millionaire pop singers and ask yourself how many of them can actually sing? Considering all the recent accusations of lip-synching, the answer is not many. It's sad that looks have become more important to so many people than talent.

Many Hollywood stars love the attention they get from their fans and from the press. However, there is a downside to all this publicity. Star stalking is rather common and can be very dangerous. Individuals who have certain mental disabilities often fixate on Hollywood stars and create fantasy lives where they think they know the star personally.

You can gauge the star power of the Hollywood stars from the fact that in the last Presidential election in US many stars were called upon to rally against George Bush. It is a separate matter that Bush won again and people didn't let the stars detract them from their choice.

Hollywood movie stars make millions of dollars from their fan support and people love to see them any chance they get. Tabloid papers spout lies and trash about the rich and famous, and yet people buy them up like hot cakes. America's obsession with Hollywood doesn't show any signs of slowing down.

All Ski and Smiles The Best Snowy Resorts for Families

All Ski and Smiles The Best Snowy Resorts for Families

For families, choosing the right ski resort is the most important part of planning a sporty winter holiday. To ensure that everyone is happy, there are lots of things to consider, ranging from accommodation to childcare. This can be a difficult and complicated task even for veteran holidaymakers. To give you a helping hand, here are a few things to look out for.
Guaranteed Snow Ski seasons can be long, sometimes too long, and tour companies might entice you with cheap prices off season but then you find no snow when you get there. Nothing will sap the energy from the party like turning up and finding no snow, so it is always useful to consult independent websites beforehand.

Travel No one likes travelling, especially young children. Its a good idea to keep the travelling to a minimum where you can; this means shorter flights and shorter transfers. A resort further abroad may be cheaper, but is it worth the misery?

Accommodation Good quality, family-friendly accommodation is your first priority. Although a little expensive to begin with, catered chalets end up saving money over the week and make the whole holiday easier for tired children and their parents.

Nurseries and Ski Schools The resort you choose must have slopes for all abilities. If your children have little to no skiing experience, it is also a good idea to check that the resort has reputable but affordable ski nurseries and schools.

Off-Piste Activities On a week-long trip in the mountains, everyone will need a break from the slopes every so often. Make sure that your resort has lots of off-piste action, such as swimming pools, sledging or animal farms.

The Best Resorts:

With all factors considered, here are some of the best resorts for families.

La Plagne, France La Plagne is a huge ski area spread across ten different villages, each of which has plenty of catered chalets and at least one nursery. There is also a ski school or two in every village, some of which are run by Brits to help with the language barrier.

Ylls, Finland For a more Christmassy atmosphere that the kids will love, head off to Ylls in Finland. This resort has your off-piste activities covered, offering snowshoeing, reindeer sleigh rides and sledging. Accommodation here is not right on the slopes, which means that the chalets are quieter at night and everyone gets more sleep.

Klosters, Switzerland Klosters has a reputation for family fun like no other. This is mainly because of Madrisa Land, Switzerlands largest adventure park on Klosters Sonnenberg Mountain. The park contains loads of extra safe areas for the kids to have good old-fashioned fun with snow ball fights and more.

Alpbach, Austria A small, cosy resort, Alpach is popular with British families looking for a less hectic ski holiday. There is a great selection of catered chalets built right next to the ski nurseries, which is perfect for the little ones.

Belinda Smythson works for Ski Amis, a specialist ski travel agency and booking service that has been helping avid skiers and hikers craft their perfect winter holiday for over a quarter of a century. If you're looking for catered chalets, La Plagne is an ideal choice. For accommodation anywhere in the Three Valleys, Paradiski, Espace Killy or Chamonix Valley, Ski Amis is the go-to company for winter sports fans searching for the holiday of a lifetime.

Why use Window Film? Everyone knows the damage the sun can do to anything that is constantly subjected to the rays. Your drapes and furniture are proof of how the sun can fade them wherever it shines until they are completely ruined. This is a problem for many people who do not know what else to do other than purchase heavily lined drapes and try to keep their home furnishings out the sunlight.

Instead of closing yourself in and having no idea what the outside world looks like, a solution to your problems can be to use Window Film. This is one of the ways you can get rid of those heavy ugly drapes and put pretty window treatments up without worrying about them being ruined by the sun. Window Film is available in a multitude of types that will compliment your home and allow you to see out without having your privacy invaded.

A good type of Window Film is Huper Optik. This is a high performing, energy conserving solar protectant film that will allow you to let the light of day in without harming your furniture, carpet, or curtains. Huper Optik has an infra-red elimination of up to 98%. The UV rejection rate is more than 99%.

This is a hard coat that is scratch resistant so you do not have to worry about it developing spots that can allow the sunlight to creep through. The glare is practically non-existent. And if you are worried about how it will look, do not be worried. It is practically invisible so you do not have a metallic look to your windows.

There are many types of Window Film that have a limited lifetime warranty. Using this Window Film can reduce your utility bills by providing less heat through your windows. The air conditioning does not have to work as hard so the cost of your electricity should reduce significantly.

If this is not reason enough to consider using Window Film on your windows, you may want to consider the fact that not only is Window Film energy efficient but it is shatter proof so there are no flying shards of glass if your window should get broken.

When you use Window Film on your windows not only are you helping to save your furniture and curtains as well as yourself from the damaging rays of the sun but you are helping to preserve energy in more ways than one. The more light you can let into your home, the less artificial light is needed which saves on the cost of electricity.

If you compare two rooms with the air conditioning set on the same degree, the one with Window Film on the windows will feel cooler longer and the air conditioner will stay off longer between cycles because of the help that Window Film gives your home to function more efficiently. For blocking the harmful and hot rays of the sun from your home, you can use Window Film in all of your rooms as well as your vehicle.

A Rewarding Hobby Is To Collect Autographs

A Rewarding Hobby Is To Collect Autographs

Autograph collecting is a fun and rewarding hobby, but it's also a lucrative business for many entrepreneurs. As a hobby, autographs are a terrific way to own a piece of memorabilia that has been personally signed by your favorite actor, musician, athlete, etc. Collectors across the globe are always looking to add the unattainable signature to their collection.
Autographs can be obtained either in person or through the mail. If you are fortunate enough to live in an area where sports competitions or movie filmings are plentiful, then you may have a lot of in-person autograph opportunities. For everyone else, collecting through the mail may be the most economical approach. Athletes can be written in care of their sports team, celebrities in care of their television show or on location at a film set while musicians can be reached through their agent or a venue at which they are performing.

The value of an autograph depends on who the signature is from. If you don't want to pay for an appraisal, surf the internet for autograph dealers and see if you can find an average cost for the signature. If you are looking to sell autographs, the number of potential customers can be impressive if you know how to market your business. A well-publicized website or a presence with online auctions is often the best success for any business, including autographs. If you plan to sell autographs, you will need to be upfront with customers about how the signature was obtained. If it was through the mail, let them know. If the autograph was obtained in person, perhaps you would include a Certificate of Authenticity noting the date and location that the signature was obtained.

There are a few things to remember when seeking autographs. Whether in-person or through the mail, always be polite in your request. Say "please" and "thank you." If you are attending an autograph show, take your own item to be signed along with a sharpie permanent marker. If you are sending mailed autograph requests, always include a self-addressed stamped envelope. Never request more than 2 items to be signed at any given time - many celebrities consider this to be rude. Some of the best items to be signed include photos, blank 3x5 index cards, t-shirts, baseballs, golf balls, footballs, books, etc. Courtesy is the key to obtaining an autograph - whether as a hobby or for resale.

A Packing Checklist - Leave Nothing Behind

A Packing Checklist - Leave Nothing Behind

Image source: http://static1.squarespace.com/static/530df934e4b01b530aaa92be/54545730e4b0e501c0741e4d/54585fb0e4b00889b2e0eeb9/1416504089849/?format=1000w

Packing for a trip, whether it's a weekend getaway or a three week cruise can be a stressful undertaking. It is easy to forget an essential item; and it always seems like there is never enough room in your luggage for everything you want to take.

If you are traveling by air, you are generally allowed two checked pieces of luggage per person and one carry on bag. The carry on bag should be able to fit comfortably under the seat in front of you or in the overhead bin. The restriction on liquids is still in effect. All liquids, creams and lotions must be in containers of three ounces or less and contained in a quart size Ziploc bag.

Most experienced travelers understand the importance of carrying important items in their carry on bag, rather than their checked bag, especially if an airline has lost their luggage before. Your passport, tickets and any travel documents should be in your carry on bag, along with any vital medication, spare glasses or contact lens and prescriptions. A basic change of clothing is also a good idea.

Virtually all airline tickets today are electronic, although if you do have a paper ticket you should carry a copy of it in case you lose it. It is a good idea to make photocopies of your passport (the inside page with your information on) as well as any other travel documents. Keep these copies in a separate place. And you should also carry with you a list of important phone numbers to call in case your purse or wallet containing passport, tickets or credit cards are lost or stolen.

Many experienced travelers only take a carry on bag, regardless of the length of their trip. Traveling with just a carry on bag eliminates the often long wait at the baggage carousel, and, of course, the airline cannot lose your luggage.

One method of packing lightly is to put everything you intend to take out on the floor or bed in front of you, then consider each item individually and ask yourself "How often will I use it?" and "Do I really need it?" If you will only use the item rarely, you should consider leaving it at home. When packing your suitcase, place larger and heavier items on the bottom, and smaller items on the top.

Many items can be purchased inexpensively and easily, rather than having to take them with you. Simple toiletries, film for your camera and beach clothing can easily be found just about anywhere. Items that you feel you should take, but may not need, such as waterproof clothing and first aid items can be purchased when you arrive at your destination, if necessary. Most hotels now carry a selection of basic toiletries for guests who may have forgotten something.

Consider packing clothes that can easily be mixed and matched and will complement each other, rather than taking several different outfits. For example, a pair of neutral trousers will match several different sweaters or shirts. Most travelers can get by with just two pairs of shoes, a sturdy but comfortable pair for walking and sightseeing and a more stylish pair for wearing with dress clothes.

10 Sure Signs of Being Cursed

10 Sure Signs of Being Cursed

If youre reading this, its likely that you want to know more about curses. Perhaps you suspect that a curse or hex may have been placed upon you. If so, keep reading. Or perhaps you just want to stay protected from curses. This is the article for you then, too. Whatever your interest, these are the top ten signs that you are almost certainly cursed:
10. Nightmares, night terrors, sleep paralysis, or strange nighttime sensations. One of the most evident symptoms of being cursed or hexed is trouble sleeping. This can range from sleep paralysis and nightmares to simply having an unusually restless sleep. While everyone has the occasional nightmare, consistent experiences of nightmares is a strong indication a curse has been placed on an individual.

9. Loss of energy. Curses and hexes can turn individuals described as vibrant and positive to dull and boring. Fatigue and sudden loss of energy is a strong symptom of most curses. This is especially true for curses and hexes placed to drain individuals of their energy. Psychic vampires are notable for working in this fashion.

8. Misfortune of loved ones. If loved ones or people close to you suddenly start experiencing an unusual amount of misfortune, this is a clear symptom a curse has been placed. While we expect curses to affect the person they are placed upon, it doesnt always work like that. This is because some curses are directed at damaging a persons entire life, which includes harming those around the victim. These types of curses are becoming increasingly common, and unfortunately can be devastating.

7. Financial or property loss. Sudden and unexpected losses of property or financial loss are good indicators of a curse. Many curses are intended to affect a specific aspect of a persons life, such as finances, health, or relationships. Anything from being laid off at work to becoming the victim of (supposedly) random vandalism can be the outcomes of a financial curse. If youve experienced sudden financial losses, its worth asking if youve been cursed.

6. Relationship trouble. Curses directed at harming relationships may be the most abundant curses in existence. Curses of this nature can turn happy and healthy marriages into trainwreck failure marriages, so beware. Its very common for things to be going perfectly and then suddenly, without warning, to take a turn for the worst.

5. Deterioration of health. While sickness has many natural causes and should always be appraised by qualified medical professionals, it is important to note that magical curses and hexes do, in fact, cause sickness. Healthy individuals can be made sick instantly with some curses, while other curses manifest themselves as gradual declines in health.

4. Legal trouble. Lawsuits and criminal charges may often stem from curses. Curses can manifest themselves in such a fashion that innocent people are accused of crimes or torts, or may actually incline people to engage in criminal behavior that may result in their misfortunes. Whatever the case, if an individual suddenly experiences legal trouble it can be a symptom of being cursed.

3. Direct perceptions of being cursed. Some curses are more obvious, causing individuals to be directly tormented by hallucinations or delusions. Additionally, as some employ spiritual beings the victim may find themselves directly harassed by such entities. As the saying goes, if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, its probably a duck. If a person has strong experiences of being cursed, there is a good chance they are.

2. Sudden and serious illness. As opposed to a gradual reduction in health, sudden and serious illnesses are strong symptoms of harmful magics at work. These usually manifest themselves as specific, serious illnesses that afflict the victim acutely. As the nature of these curses are especially dangerous, they should be dealt with as soon as possible.

1. Death. Yes, people can actually die from curses. Death by harmful magic can manifest itself in a myriad of ways, from suicide to sickness to car accident. Unfortunately, after this symptom is present it is already too late to help the victim. The key is to block and remove curses before this occurs, not wait until after. Additionally, powerful curses may even harm those around the intended victim, so it is important to deal with them in any situation.

All of the symptoms listed above are indications a curse has been placed on someone. Individually they are not proof per se, but collectively they should be taken as strong evidence. What this means is that if someone experiences one or more of the symptoms above, they should seriously consider that a curse may be the cause of it. The more symptoms there are, the stronger the likelihood a curse has been placed.

However, a curse is no reason to lose hope. At the fist sign of evidence a curse has been placed immediate action should be taken to remove the curse. Additionally, there are ways to prevent a curse. Caution should be taken, however, when attempting to fight a curse, as inexperienced casters may actually compound it and make it worse. You should seek out a professional witch to remove or protect you from curses.
