Why You Need to Upgrade to a Memory Foam Mattress

Why You Need to Upgrade to a Memory Foam Mattress

Your body relies on good sleep.

Getting a good nightss rest is essential for maintaining a healthy physical lifestyle and emotional well-being. It also can improve or hinder your day-to-day functions.

Without sleep, you are cranky, less productive, and are at risk for some serious health issues including heart disease, stroke, and obesity.

Having a good mattress can either be your lifeline or your downfall when it comes to catching some ZZZs.

A Memory foam mattress provides you with the comfort and support needed to ensure you are getting the best sleep possible while not compromising the alignment of your body.

Why Should You Have A Memory Foam Mattress?

As opposed to a spring mattress, memory foam provides posture relief, posture support, and increased blood circulation.

These mattresses have a memory foam layer, a support core, and a cover that are enclosed in a main casing cover.

They are composed of visto-elastic foam which allows the mattress to adapt to a bodys pressure and temperature. The visto-elasticity is what makes the mattress so durable and capable of treating your back, neck, and joint pains.

Memory foam mattresses are able to evenly distribute your body weight which increases blood flow, putting a halt to those restless nights.

Which Memory Foam Mattress Is For Me?

Traditional memory foam mattresses retain bodily heat very well so they feel much warmer than spring mattresses. However, if you are in a less temperate location or prefer cooler sleeping options, you may wish to opt for a gel-infused foam mattress as it does not hold in as much heat.

Gel-infused memory foam also contains visto-elastic foam, however, it also holds layers of gel or beads to break down the heat absorption.

Also, if you are looking for a mattress that provides the same levels of comfort without the chemical makeup, you should consider a plant-based memory foam mattress.

These eco-friendly mattresses are made of natural alternatives to the visto-elastic and polyurethane foam. Soy, castor beans and bamboo are commonly found within natural memory foam mattresses.

The eco-friendly and gel-infused options are just as sturdy and comfortable as the traditional memory foam. Aside from the actual make-up of the mattresses, the most noticeable difference is the heat each retains.

Final Thoughts

Memory foam mattresses are usually a little pricier than spring mattresses. However, they last for 8-10 years as opposed to 3-5, so ultimately, purchasing a memory foam mattress will save you money in the long run.

Memory foam mattresses can be combined with electric blankets, heated mattress pads, and can even be placed on top of your box spring.

However, I will advise to not use memory foam if any of the slats are broken as it would not be safe holding your body and mattress weight.

Are you convinced yet? If not, you should know that most furniture stores allow shoppers to test out new mattresses. So, get out there and make use of these test rides! I will warn you: once you try a memory foam mattress- you will not look back!

Why Secular Liberalism Always Creates Contradiction - U.S. and EU Top Offenders

Why Secular Liberalism

Image source: http://nation.com.pk/digital_images/large/2015-06-08/why-secular-liberals-should-be-thankful-for-pti-1433771153-1851.jpg

Liberalism is having its day on a global scale. The United States is only a notch behind Europe in becoming the second great home for secular liberalisms gray soup where all absolutism is dissolved into a giant pot of tolerance and diversity. It promises to feed the world but it is un-palatable under the strong light of truth.
When many ideas are allowed to co-exist in a democracy where the tolerance is generated by common respect, miracles can take place. When different ideas are quickly stirred and mixed together by the force of law only anger, confusion, contradiction and despair result.

The by product of forcing everyone to speak and even think alike is always contradiction. Ignorance of human nature is the stupidity that fuels liberalism. People levitate toward their own heartfelt convictions about God, country, politics and all else. The new liberalism seeks to require, to mandate, to legislate that we all think as we are supposed to think. We become the Borg (Gene Roddenberrys forced one mind culture) and because the gray slop is now the rule of law resistance is futile. But is it?

For decades we have heard the adage you cant legislate morality. Faith and Familys Dr. Richard Land has an interesting take on this allegedly sage admonishment and is often quoted for saying, You cant legislate morality but you have to pass a lot of legislation to deal with the effects of immorality.

It seems the effort to legislate laws to deal with the rapid rise of immorality is losing ground and now it is easier to allow a lot of things under the heading of personal freedom. We are fast approaching the place where liberalism empowered by the law will produce something equivalent to state sponsored personal anarchy. It is sort of the legalized version of if it feels good, do it.

The governments of both the US and the EU are figuratively saying its all good! For the moment it may seem that they are right but in the near future we will all realize they are miserably wrong. The fast moving train that neither country sees coming down the track has already begun to smash everything in its path.

When liberalisms train of tolerance and diversity is empowered by law then it will be illegal to oppose or disagree with others beliefs. When it was a matter of conscience, Christians could live with a neighbor who was Buddhist or a Muslim and carry on a discourse or even witness to them of our faith if we thought to do so. This could put you in jail in the very near future. In Muslim countries it can and now does often result in being jailed or killed, in accordance with the law!

Enforcing gray slop laws has only one outcome and it is always contradiction. Prime examples exist today that read like a list of liberalisms world class absurdities. It takes only a cursory search of todays headlines to see some of these absurdities. Here are a few examples.

According to The Spectator UK Jan 22, 2009 Dutch Freedom Party MP, Geert Wilders is to be put on trial for inciting hatred and discrimination for his remarks and for posting an anti-Koran film on the internet. Contrast this to a news report in the Telegraph UK also on Jan 22, 2009 that reports an Australian Muslim cleric has been teaching his followers that it is perfectly acceptable to rape and beat their wives. Perhaps the worlds liberals should donate funds to fly those Muslim women to Mr. Wilders trial and even sit on the jury! Does anyone want to guess what the verdict will be?

An article on the Wired Blog Network Jan 21, 2009 says Obama Promises New Era of Openness. The article goes on to say United States President Barack Obama announced today that his administration will roll back the secrecy that has ruled during the Bush Administration and implement a new era of government openness and transparency. While the libs are titillated the conservatives headed up by former Pennsylvania Asst. Attorney General Philip Berg and of late Dr. Orly Taitz, are livid for good reason. Dozens of documents from Obamas school days going all the way back to his birth certificate remain under lock and key and so far not a court in the land has had the chutzpah to get them released. Write this under contradiction with a capital C.

Probably the most blaring contradiction of the day is the recent booing of outgoing President George Bush by the crowds at the inauguration of Barack Obama. Here stood the quintessential crowd of liberal progressives watching as their hope of tolerance, fair play and oneness recited the oath of office even as they showed open disdain, disrespect and even hatred for President Bush. This is the by product of liberalism and it is always contradiction.

The very idea that a President can stand before a crowd of one million and promise a better life for Americans even while he supports the ending of life for the unborn to the tune of 4,000 per day will have to top the list as the greatest single liberally generated absurdity of the day. The gray soup will produce many more contradictions in the future so where does it all end?

Secularism seeks to produce a form of government and a form of utopian society that will usher in a new age of blissful diversity and acceptance. It requires a leveling of many playing fields such as religion, politics, and let us not forget that great Devil we must all defeat together known as global warming. The new form of things looks so tantalizing as to be the very form of Godliness itself. This is where I would have to fall out and revert to the sage teachings of the Apostle Paul who for me not only has the last word but his word helps to illumine yet another blaring contradiction birthed from the liberal hype of the day.

Paul warning of the state of things near the end of time as we know it, told his beloved young disciple Timothy, This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. (2Tim 3:1-5)

I am always thankful that Paul didnt mention that these same folks at the very least were busy hustling up some way to cool down their overheated planet. After seeing the behavior of the liberal constituency of this country and reading everything from their legislation to their blogs I now know who Paul was speaking of. The gray soup Paul is speaking of is now so very close to home. http://www.americanprophet.org is the place for news, articles, movie and book reviews and other insights for life. Reese Witherspoon is actually a descendant of John Witherspoon who just happened to be one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence. Do you think that her somewhat of a free spirit attitude is inherited?

Laura Jeanne Reese Witherspoon was born on March 22, 1976 at Southern Baptist Hospital (now Memorial Medical Center) in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was the second child born to Dr. John Witherspoon and Betty Reese. Her father was a military surgeon specializing in the ear, nose and throat. Her mother was a Registered Nurse who later became a Ph.D in pediatric nursing. Reese spent the first four years of her life in Wiesbaden, Germany where her father served as a lieutenant colonel in the US Army reserves. Shortly after, John moved the family back to the States, settling in Nashville, Tennessee.

She broke into modeling and lands an acting gig at age 7, shooting a TV commercial for a florist. She continued doing local commercials and takes first place in a Ten-State Talent Fair at age 11. Then atthe tender age 14, Witherspoon debuts in the coming-of-age drama The Man in the Moon, giving her first onscreen kiss to costar Jason London. She makes her television premiere the same year in the Diane Keaton directed drama Wildflower. In 1996, Witherspoon's performance in Freeway established her as a up and coming rising star and led to roles in three major 1998 movies: Overnight Delivery, Pleasantville, and Twilight. In the following year Witherspoon appeared in the critically acclaimed Election, which garnered her a Golden Globe nomination and saw her breakout role as Elle Woods in the box office hit, that I thoroughly enjoyed, Legally Blonde. In 2002 she starred in Sweet Home Alabama, which became her biggest commercial film success to date. 2003 saw her return as lead actress and executive producer of Legally Blonde 2. In 2005, Witherspoon received worldwide attention and praise for her portrayal of June Carter Cash in Walk the Line, a role that earned her an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Actress. And all of this just before her 30th birthday.

She married actor Ryan Phillippe in 1999 and they have two beautiful children Ava and Deacon. But after only a few years together they got divorced in 2007.[The couple first met at Witherspoon's 21st birthday party.]

In 2004, Witherspoon starred in Vanity Fair, adapted from the 19th-century classic novel Vanity Fair and directed by Mira Nair and early-2005,She starred alongside Mark Ruffalo in the romantic comedy Just Like Heaven where she played Elizabeth Masterson, a dedicated San Francisco doctor who is involved in a car accident and becomes a spirit, her spirit, returns to her old apartment and she later finds true love there. And in 2006 she stared in the political thriller Rendention and it was her first appearance in two years and in 2007 she started filming for the comedy Four Christmasses.

In 2007, she was selected by People and the entertainment news program Access Hollywood as one of the best dressed female stars of the year.[86][87] That same year, Witherspoon established herself as the highest-paid actress in the American film industry, earning US$15 to US$20 million per film. What an amazing feat to accomplish considering the fact that Witherspoon is still so very young.Of course the competition for this covited award seems to changing every fewmonths. What a great race to be in. Names like Julie Roberts, Nicole Kidman,Roberts, Nicole Kidman, Drew Barrymore, Renee Zellweger, Angelina Jolie and Cameron Diaz, just to name a few.

What Was Elizabeth Taylor's First Dramatic Film

What Was Elizabeth Taylor's First Dramatic Film

A Place In The Sun was one of the 50's most intriguing films. The release date was October 11, 1951. I celebrated my third birthday party on that exact date, but it wasn't until years later that I actually saw that film. As I was growing older, I developed a big crush, like most of my friends, on Elizabeth Taylor.

The movie depicts an up and coming George Eastman [played by Montgomery Cliff] being thrust into the blue collar life of a rich uncle's family business, and falling in love with another women, despite the fact that his own [secret] girlfriend was now pregnant.

Directed by George Stevens, who did a brilliant job, despite the constraints that were imposed on him by Paramount. This film classic was actually a remake of a film that was made 20 years earlier that was a total bomb. The studio had lost a huge amount of money on the earlier version, so the monetary restraints were put in place before they even started shooting.

A very young Elizabeth Taylor, who plays Angela Vickers,is paired with Montgomery Cliff in this classic story of doomed love.It was Miss Taylor's best work to date and her first dramatic role. Her raw natural beauty lights up the screen. Shelly Winters [who plays Alice Tripp] gives a convincing performance of the poor homely girl who happens to fall in love with George Eastman.Upon learning that she is pregnant, she fantasies about the life that she and George will share together but after finding out about George's real love interest, she threatens him with exposure, unless he agrees to marry her.

His mind is full of crazy thoughts about what he should do. He leaves a dinner party to meet Alice and ends up in a boat on moon lake with her. As she starts to describe the dreary, uninteresting life that both of them will live, George's mind is filled only with thoughts of the beautiful Taylor. He changes his mind about his plans of droning Alice and starts back to shore. But in one ironic twist of fate,Alice moves to be closer to George and causes the boat to capsize, falls into the lake and drowns anyway.

He is captured and prosecuted by an ambitious district attorney [played by Raymond Burr].

This is definitely one of the best classic movies that ever came out of Hollywood. It won 6 Oscars, another 7 wins and 8 nominations. This is a classic example tragic romanticism.

What Is The Classic Detective Fiction Novel

What Is The Classic Detective Fiction Novel

Among good reads, the classic detective fiction novel should come in somewhere near the top, mixed with various other genres. Such collections as The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes is still a good seller and can be found at nearly any bookstore due to the still common popularity. Such readers may occasionally have to special order some items though; due to the length of time those novels have been in existence. If there were more good fictional detective novels gracing the shelves of the bookstores today, there would not still be the demand for those fantastic pieces that were created so many years ago.

The reader requires constant entertainment and most of these classic detective fiction novels can provide that to them easily. Although some of the terms and phrases are now somewhat outdated, it is still a most interesting read for the well versed reader to pick up and follow. The books that aren't exactly highlighted or featured any longer always pique the interest of the most self respected reader. To find such books, one must simply do the research and ask if need be since there are many that are still in print.

In these stories, the reader embarks upon an interesting journey through time to a world where things are still much simpler than the life of today. There are still crimes however, since that is what the book focuses on in depth. A theft may have occurred and subsequently caused a murder. The hero is, of course, the detective. This character is proficient in the means of detecting crime. His attitudes and morals can be described by the author in several different ways, but the general view of the detective is intelligence. If the detective is not perceived as intelligent, how should he be able to solve the crimes that the police cannot? The author makes it interesting of course, using clever phrases and great character descriptions to involve the reader as much as possible in the storyline. The reader often thinking or trying to figure out who the culprit is that committed this crime.

This is why a lot of these novels are referred to more commonly as the "Who Done It" type of book. The author creates an issue, a crime, and the reader is ultimately trying to figure out who committed the crime all throughout the book. If it is written in any great detail whatsoever, the reader will be roped into the book in no time flat; desperately reading on to try to figure out which character committed the crime and exactly how it was pulled off by that character. Doyle was definitely one of the leading writers of the fiction detective novel with his amazingly unusual novels portraying crimes that some would not have thought about being committed. But Doyle could not have accomplished the worldwide recognition of such stories without his leading character, Sherlock Holmes, gracing the pages and solving the crimes at just the right point in the story. This is one of the reasons that his character is so loved, and has to rate today as the classic detective in the classic detective novel.

What Is Memory Retention

What Is Memory Retention

There are many ways of classifying the human mind and its ability to retain information. One of the most often used classifications are based on the duration of memory retention, specifically the sensory, short term and long term memory. Short term memory refers to the recent memory, and is usually only held for a very short period of time. A common example would be when you meet many new people, cursorily introduced at a party. Long term memory, on the other hand, can be thought of as a database where all the information that you have learnt is kept. Sensory memory is conveyed through your senses of sight and sound, where you keep these images in your mind.

Sleep

Having sufficient sleep is a necessity to improving your memory. Studies have shown that the sensory memory is able to be more firmly embedded in the long term memory when there is adequate sleep. Research has also shown that facts and other information are also able to be retained and recalled with greater ease when paired with sleep. This has been attributed to the fact that sleep strengthens the memories and causes them to be less vulnerable to environmental interference.

Emotions

Emotions also play a big part in memory retention. The emotional impact that an image, word or event has on the individual has a huge impact on it being stored in the long term memory. This is as the amygdale, the portion of the mind that is related to emotion, is an important factor in adapting memories according to importance, based on the intensity of the emotions. This is regardless of the nature of the emotion.

Memory Retention Tools

The human mind is a complex element of our cognitive abilities, and memories can be either verbal or non-verbal. There are many techniques for retaining information. These include organization of information through meaning, where associations between new information is received and linked with information already stored in the long term memory. Other forms of such memory retention techniques include visual organization, by linking information to visual images, and organizing through similarities, where similar concepts or objects are grouped together based on certain characteristics.

Mnemonic devices are another often employed tool in memory retention. The use of acronyms is common, especially in branding, where a sequence of words is easily recalled based on the first letter of each word in the list being used to form a single, new word. Acrostics are commonly used as well, when the list of words is required to be learnt in a specific order. Rhymes or songs that are catchy are used, putting new words into a familiar jingle in order to better capture and retain information

What Happens On Christmas Day

What Happens On Christmas Day

The Christmas season and all its activities are geared to the big day, Dec. 25, which is Christmas Day. The word Christmas is derived from Middle English 'Christemasse' and Old English 'Cristes maesse,' both of which means 'Christ's Mass.' The day is celebrated by Christians as the day that Jesus Christ was born, although the true date of Jesus' birth isn't really known.

Given the religious significance of Christmas Day, it therefore follows that attending church is a big tradition on that day. It is seen as mandatory for devout Christians and for others who are concerned about retaining the sacred meaning of the day. Many people fear that the sacred aspects of Christmas are being lost and overshadowed amid the bustle of commercial activity now associated with the entire season.

Church services therefore take place early on Christmas morning. Attending those services is the first official activity that many people do on Christmas Day. Unlike the Midnight Mass and other earlier church services on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day services do not usually include the dramatization of the birth of Jesus. They may be more subdued with a sermon that recounts the birth of Jesus and his purpose to save mankind. The congregation is then exalted to be as giving as Jesus and to help out those who are in need.

Consequently, many people will take some time on Christmas Day to volunteer in a charitable activity such as serving dinner to the poor and hungry at a church, charitable organization or other social services center. Others will also work with charitable organizations to distribute toys to needy children at shelters, hospitals and other places.

As part of the religious aspect of Christmas Day, groups that sing Christmas carols will also be out very early on Christmas morning.

Although Christmas Dinner is the most significant meal of the day, a large breakfast will also be served in most households that will be shared by all family members. The occasion of all family members having a meal together is a disappearing tradition in many American households and so Christmas is seen as a perfect time to return to the tradition. Christmas Day after all, is all about family, sharing and togetherness.

Throughout the day, greetings of 'Merry Christmas' will be exchanged by telephone calls with family, friends, acquaintances, and loved ones who are located elsewhere in the country and overseas. It is a common occurrence for so many people to be trying to make international calls to loved ones and friends on Christmas Day that telephone communication systems to some countries often are overwhelmed. The availability of technology and the Internet eases that somewhat nowadays however, as emails and instant messaging can also be used as other communication channels to exchange greetings on Christmas Day.

Christmas Day Dinner is undoubtedly the central activity of the day. Family and friends gathered for dinner take pleasure in enjoying and sharing a delicious meal and also are mindful and thankful for the opportunity to be able to share the meal, to have each other and for the material things that make their lives comfortable and give them happiness.

Some of those material things are then shared in absolute delight as everyone will gather around or near to the Christmas tree after dinner to exchange and open Christmas presents. It's an activity that is relished and which is filled with much laughter, happy chatter and merriment, especially by children who are usually much delighted to get a toy that they had wished for.

After dinner and the exchange of presents, adults may have light conversations, play games or even watch a movie. Children are often taken up with experimenting or playing with their new toys. It has also become a tradition on Christmas Day for members of some families, such as teenagers and young adults, to end Christmas Day by attending the movie theater on Christmas evening or Christmas night to see a recently released film.

What Are The Differences Between An MP3 Player And A CD Player

If you were to look down the aisles of the local consumer electronics shop these days you would notice that there are a number of MP3 players that are seemingly poised to overtake the age old CD player in the consumer electronics market. Yes, it would definitely seem that after close to two decades of dominance the CD player is fading away and the MP3 player is replacing it. In order to understand why this is so, one needs to look at the differences between CD players and MP3 players as well as their own historical evolution in the marketplace.

A CD Player is a device that plays Compact Disks which are audio disks that contain a finite amount of information digitally recorded onto them. Although compact disks had been around since the mid-1980's they did not start to really take off in sales until the early 1990's and their effect on the consumer electronics world was nothing short of staggering. When compact discs came along it was not only the end of the record album but it was also the end of cassette tape as well. While a great deal of the reason for this was due to the fact that CDS possessed significantly better sound quality thanks to their digital recording (Albums cassettes and 8-Track tapes were recording on the old analogue systems and were loaded with "hiss") one could never dismiss the portability of the CD. You could listen to a CD on your car's CD player. You could listen to a CD on your Sony Walkman. You basically had a number of portability options that a record album could not provide. Now, a cassette tape could provide these but the sound quality was lacking. As such, CD players greatly overtook cassettes in the marketplace.

In time, there came the notion that it was not necessary to record digital data onto a disk but rather encode the data into a file that could be compressed into a player's memory. This is, in essence, what an MP3 player is. The "true" name of an MP3 player is a "digital audio player" and its primary purpose is to play audio files...not disks. In fact, some MP3 players can also play video files which CD players can not. Audio files can be stored either directly on the hard drive memory of the MP3 player or they can be stored on a removable flash card that is only a mere fraction of the size of a compact disk. This is clearly the biggest difference between MP3 players and CD players.

This connects to the main benefit to an MP3 player over a CD player: convenience. This is rooted in the fact that you download MP3 files onto the player as opposed to inserting a CD. This is a TREMENDOUS benefit because you can store upwards of 500 songs on an MP3 player's memory and tuck the player in your pocket. (Because there is no need to house a compact disk or cassette tape portable MP3 players are significantly smaller than CD players) If you were to try and carry 500 songs around with you on a CD player you would need to figure out a way to conceal 50 compact disks on your person. Ok, sure, you could carry them around in a back pack too but that is no bargain!

So, much like what the CD player did to record albums and audio cassettes many years ago it would seem that the MP3 player is poised to overtake the CD player in the consumer market. No, CD players will not disappear overnight but they will eventually give way to the progress represented by MP3 Players. That is just the way the wheels of consumer electronics progress spin.

Ways To Get Your Ex Girlfriend Back

Ways To Get Your Ex Girlfriend Back

Image source: http://image.slidesharecdn.com/howtogetyourexgirlfriendback-130103194333-phpapp01/95/how-to-get-your-ex-girlfriend-back-1-638.jpg?cb=1357242259

Are you looking for the best ways to get your ex girlfriend back but have no clue where to start? Don't worry, you have found the article you were looking for. In this article I share some of the best ways to get your ex girfriend back as discovered over the years by dealing with hundreds of guys in the same position as you. So without further ado, here we go!

1) Take The Familiar Road And Wait It Out. This is one of the ways to get your ex girlfriend back that you will hear a lot. You basically should take a vow of "no contact" and give her anywhere between fourteen days and one month to calm down, gain some perspective and be open to you again. The reason you should not contact her is because this will interfere with her own healing process. You should let her mind go its natural way. It's almost ridiculous how much she can forget over a one month period. After a little break like this I have seen guys waltzing back into their ex girlfriends' lives as if nothing was wrong.

2) Use Her Friends To Make Her Come Back. This is a dirty little trick that, when played right, is probably one of the most effective ways to get your ex girlfriend back. If you are close friends with her friends, you are in luck. What you have to do is be the best friend they have ever had. Make sure that they never catch you being depressed or sad about the break up. Just be real, friendly and happy around them and they will only have good things to say about you. You can be sure that these things will reach your ex girlfriend. The great thing is that if it is some of her girl friends, they can literally brainwash her into realizing how crazy she was for breaking up with you! Evil? Yes. Does it work? Like a charm.

3) Jealousy Makes Your Ex Girlfriend Come Back. The fact remains that this game is won or lost in the mind. And what's the strongest factor in determining what is going on in somebody's mind? That's right, emotions. Jealousy is an incredibly strong emotion that can be used to make your ex girlfriend do all kinds of "out-of-character" stuff to get your attention again. I do not recommend going out and getting freaky with every girl you lay your eyes on, but rather go on a date with one of her friends who you know likes you. This, of course, doesn't have to be any romantic kind of date at all. It is only for your ex girlfriend to hear about. Believe me, she will not be sleeping very much that night. She will just have you on her mind, wondering what on earth you are up to. This is one of the sneakiest yet effective ways to get your ex girlfriend back.

Iron Man 2 Online

* Don Cheadle as Lt. Colonel James "Rhodey" Rhodes / War Machine: Cheadle is replacing Terrence Howard from the first motion picture. Howard said, "There was no reason, apparently the contracts that we write and sign aren't as good as the paper that they're written on, now and then. Deals aren't kept, and good faith discussions aren't always held up." Entertainment Weekly stated Favreau did notenjoy working with Howard, often reshooting and cutting his scenes; Howard's publicist acknowledged he had aexcellent experience playing the part, while Marvel decided not to comment. As Favreau and Theroux decided to lessen the role, Marvel came to Howard to discuss lowering his salary - Howard was the first artist hired in Iron Man and earned the biggest salary of the cast. The publicationstated they were unsure whether Howard's council left the project first or if Marvel decided to stop negotiating. Theroux denied the part of the report stating "the role of War Machine was scaled back and then pumped up". Cheadle just had a few hours toaccept the role and were not aware which storyline Rhodes would undertake. He stated he is a comic book fan, but felt there are not enough black superheroes.

Avatar Movie Facts

Jake has inadvertently been brought to become part of this intrusion. Since humans are unable to breathe the air on Pandora, they have created genetically-bred human-Navi hybrids known as Avatars. On Pandora, through his Avatar body, Jake will be able to walk again. Sent deep into Pandora's jungles as a scout for the soldiers that will follow, Jake encounters many of Pandora's beauties and dangers. There he meets a young Navi female, Neytiri (Zoe Saldaa).

Over time, Jake integrates himself into the Na'vi clan, and starts to fall in love with Neytiri. As a result, Jake finds himself caught between the military-industrial forces of Earth and the Navi, forcing him to choose sides in an epic battle that will decide the fate of an entire world.

Avatar is without a doubt the biggest movie of the year. Award winning James Cameron has been working on this movie since the release of his last huge blockbuster Titanic. A lot of movies these days get a lot of hype and do not live up to it' but I guarantee Avatar is going to deliver in a big way.

Whether you have a week or a day, blend and match these top city encounters for a life-changing excursion:

1. Have a laid back life at Victoria Harbor

The Hong Kong horizon is shocking and there are numerous approaches to take in the perspective, from a housetop bar or the touristy Peak Galleria. However, the most ideal approach to take everything in is from a Star Ferry.

The green-bottomed ships have been taking travellers over the harbour subsequent to the late 1800s. The ride amongst Central and Tsim Sha Tsui takes under 10 minutes, yet it's what numerous guests recollect most affectionately about their excursion to Hong Kong.

2. Sanctuary Street market

Sanctuary Street crystal gazers more often than not charge around HKD$100 (US$13) to peruse a palm and face. This is the spot to go satisfy all your outlandish dreams of Hong Kong. Everything here looks old, smudged and to some degree debilitating - as it were, great. A spread of laneways is loaded with all behaviour of knickknacks, the more pointless they are the more we appear to yearning them.

3. Nourishment challenges

No family Sunday faint whole dinner is finished without seeing grandmother precisely working her mouth around a chicken foot.

There comes a moment that each guest to Hong Kong needs to face his or her nourishment fears. Whether it's bones, heads of creatures or sustenance that scents like trash, it's feasible that you'll see it on your plate and you won't realize what to do with it.

However, the thing about these foods that at first makes a man force is that there's nothing testing about their flavours. The passage "peculiar sustenance" is chicken feet faint aggregate. The paws are regularly hacked up so they stack into a flawless little heap and are served in an adorable bamboo steam wicker container. It's all exceptionally edified.

Indeed, even the name is euphemized to "phoenix claws." Get past the possibility of it being feet and you have a standout amongst the most flavourful things to eat on the planet. Exceptionally suggested are the abalone sauce chicken feet at Lei Gardens.

4. Nature stun

Tai Long Wan in Sai Kung.

One of the greatest astonishments about Hong Kong is that unblemished nature exists minutes from the most swarmed parts of the city.

It's conceivable to do a daytrip - even a half-day trip - to a shoreline or mountain for a verdant time out. The best excursion is the one-hour trek from the passage of Sai Kung Country Park to a string of detached shorelines, unavailable aside from by vessel or by foot.

Tai Long Wan is our most loved for the extensive territory of clean sand, sans building ocean view and a little restaurant serving cool lager and fricasseed things.

5. Daily Mardi Gras

We as of late took an American guest to Lan Kwai Fong on a Monday night. The group stunned him. "This resemble Mardi Gras," he said.

He was stating it for emotional impact, yet Lan Kwai Fong truly is the spot to go to see Hong Kong's buckle down play-hard ethos coming from the high-weight enormous cash way of life of venture financiers, stock dealers and business visionaries, of which the city has bounty.

 6. Take in the significance of "thickness"

Mong Kok. Saturday evening. Shopping. Prepare yourself for a standout amongst the most overpowering case of populace thickness. Actually signifying "prosperous and swarmed corner," Mong Kok (MTR: Mong Kok) is the place everybody goes to purchase stuff and feel the vitality of countless individuals continuing on ahead.

Vintage Watches Are the Timeless Timepieces You Need

Vintage Watches Are the Timeless Timepieces You Need

Long summer afternoons, spent in the dim cool of your grandfathers study. The scent of his cologne and his cigar competed with the smells of Grandmas roast or Sunday gravy, floating up from the kitchen above. You would be tucked into the corner of a cracked leather armchair, paging through an oversize book with rich watercolor illustrations, or maybe just watching the dust motes dance through a shaft of sunlight.

Sometimes Grandpa would let you look through the treasures in his desk drawer: old coins, antique keys, a fountain pen, black-and-white pictures of distant relatives. And, of course, his wristwatch, still ticking as reliably as when he purchased it in Paris during the war. Just glimpsing it again brings up memories, and he begins to tell you the stories

There is no doubt vintage wristwatches hearken back to an era when people valued quality craftsmanship. Unfortunately, your older brother was the one who inherited Grandpas watch, but there is a way for you, too, to recapture that nostalgia: browsing a selection of vintage watches.

Three Reasons Why Vintage Watches Are Timeless

In the days when no self-respecting fellow would be seen in public without a hat and a pocket square, a wristwatch was a necessary accessory as well as a stylish one.

Today, we dont need watches even if you dont want to reach into your pocket for your smartphone, it seems digital clocks are everywhere. So why choose vintage watches? Lets take a look.

They Are Out of the Ordinary

Wearing a wristwatch, particularly one of the many storied vintage watches available, will set you apart from the masses. When everyone else is bent over their devices, drawn into the swirling vortex of social media and constant communication, all you need to do is take one quick glance at your wrist.

They Are the Epitome of Class

James Bond. Cary Grant. Sinatra and Deano. Classic style isnt as easy to come by these days, now that fashion is disposable and people wear pajamas to the grocery store. Not you, however. You understand that projecting a sophisticated, masculine image depends on the details: well-polished wingtips, having your shirts starched just so and, of course, the beautiful leather band of your vintage watch peeking out from beneath your cuff.

They Last a Lifetime Or Two!

If Omega vintage watches could talk, they would certainly tell some compelling tales.

What stories will you contribute to your timepieces repertoire? Owning a well-made watch from the mid-20th century positions you within history. Unlike todays tech gizmos that practically become obsolete the moment you take them out of their packaging, the old-school technology of a finely crafted chronograph is truly timeless.

Imagine handing down a vintage watch to your son, and then one day seeing it grace the wrist of your grandson. No iPhone can compare to that sense of tradition.

Once you fasten the strap of that first watch, youll be hooked. Vintage watches are beautiful, collectible, and practical items that you will be proud to own, and to pass on to future generations. Grandpa would approve!

Loved the blog? How about sharing the word to other vintage watch lovers on your favorite social platform?

In fact, many people never watch a full-length movie before seeing before seen the movie video clip or trailer.

Trailers are short movie previews of upcoming movies that nowadays are used to advertise new releases, although trailers were originally included at the end of a movie exhibit or film programming in the movies theatres or cinemas, hence the origin of the name. Being a good promotional idea, trailers did not succeed until they were programmed as introduction to the movies or between movies in double feature film programs.

While trailers have no a specific time length, those that are only between 30 and 60 seconds in length are best known as teaser trailers and not necessarily include footage of the movie that is advertised. Teaser trailers are more commonly used to promote new games, and television series rather than films.

However, teaser trailers and featured trailers are usually released on the Internet and it is estimated that every year over ten billion video trailers are watched online. When it comes to movies, it is common that teaser trailers appear before a movie is finished allowing to advertise the film several months ahead on time as occurred with the teaser trailers to promote Michael Keaton's Batman, Disney's the Lord of the Rings trilogy, and the new Spiderman and Star Wars films.

The story of movie trailers can be traced back to 1913 when a short film promoting a Broadway musical called "The Pleasure Seekers" that was advertised in the Marcus Loew theater chain of the United States. Following this trailer, the first movie ever advertised was a trailer of a Charles Chaplin's movie that was shown in Harlem Loew's Seventh Avenue Theatre the following year.

Eventually an association called National Screen Service was devoted to pick the key scenes of the movies that would be advertised in the trailers, adding voice narration and descriptive texts. The trailers that we know today became to take shape until the 1960s

Today some trailers are even awarded by The Key Art Awards and The Golden Trailer Awards and you can enjoy funny UTube movie clips that include not only trailers but also other footage taken by users from their favorite pictures. Some video clips are also trailers of their productions and you must not forget that UTube video clip website allows you to upload your own video clips for sharing. Image source: https://www.articlecube.com/sites/default/files/field/image/13436/photoworksinteractive14_0.jpg

Knowing the fact that both open air and traditional photo booths have their own pros and cons, it is, therefore, necessary that one decides it according to the budget and feasibility.

Today photo booth has become an integral part of weddings, corporate events, and various ceremonies. Most of the people prefer installing a photo booth to make the event a memorable and cherished moment, which is remembered by everyone. The photo booths have become a trend setter and almost everyone is choosing it while organizing a party or an event.

The existence of photo booth has been traced down since the 1880s and since then, they have gone through a number of changes. Early photo booths were generally installed at a particular spot and were merely used for clicking passport size photographs. However, with the preceding time, photo booth rentals became popular and people could easily hire a photo booth for events and social gatherings.

Photo booths have become the limelight of any event and keep the guests entertained as they can click pictures and keep the memory intact with them forever. With the advancement of technology, people have started creating and renting the photo booths. Moreover, the open air photo booth is trending these days as compared to the traditional photo booth.

Usually, an open air photo booth has a camera set-up with an open backdrop and one can choose different settings and styles for clicking the pictures. One can even customize the settings according to the theme of the event. Although, it is a bit technical, however, the rental companies provide a professional to guide about the various trails of the photo booth. Whereas, a traditional photo booth is usually enclosed and there is a privacy in it.

The open air photo booth caters to allow more guests in the picture, whereas, the traditional booths are enclosed and allows limited guests in the frame. Therefore, many people opt for open air photo booths. Both the photo booths can be easily customized by using different backdrops and props according to the theme of the event.

An open air photo booth usually requires a lesser space than a traditional photo booth and therefore, it is more feasible for any occasion. In terms of price, it is dictated by the number of hours for the rental, type of pictures, and various other essentials which one wants. An open air booth costs more as compared to the traditional booth set up which is usually equipped with everything and requires less money.

Moreover, the open air photo booth is the perfect choice for any event and offers something different and unique than the traditional photo booth. Generally, an open air photo booth is just the backdrop and the camera, printer and a table of props. The backdrops can even utilize "green screen" technology, meaning pretty much whatever one wants it to be, or solids, sparkly finishes or anything in between and generally open booths can be placed anywhere because they take up less space.

The traditional booths are generally simple and do not have any technological benefits. Therefore, open air photo booth rental companies provide with an innovative technology, such as animated GIFs, slow motion video, face morphing, light painting, etc. Moreover, they also provide a live slideshow of all the pictures taken on a screen placed outside and gives access to an online gallery where guests can view, download, and share the pictures. All these perks are generally not available in a traditional photo booth rental. Also, it is necessary to look out for the authenticity before you hire a photo booth rental.

Unlike going to a photo shop for a snap, a good photo painter is not so straightforward to hire. There is a wide variety of artists with different styles. The best way is to take some time to learn what photo painting is all about and get to know the artists specialization in medium and style.

2. Have a Clear Vision of What You Want

You need to familiarize yourself with paintings and themes, the genre you want the artist to use and the art medium (is it pencil, acrylic, oil, watercolor, pastel, etc.,). Let the artist guide you on the best colors to paint in.

3. Study Artists

You are commissioning a professional photo painter because you love art and want the best for your home, it is worth doing your research to save the stress later on if you just go with the cheapest one. Take your time to do a thorough search for the best artist in the specific style you want. Use your preliminary search to get accurate information to make an informed decision. The best place to do your research is on-line. Make sure to localize your search for artists in your locality. And if they have a brick and mortar store in reaching distance pay them a visit to see the work and painter up close.

4. Contact a Few Artists

After your local search, you should narrow down to few artists. Its time to communicate with them and start to apply what you have learned to hire one of them. The good thing about artists is they always have a portfolio and are proud to show you what theyve got. Get assurances of their availability, quality of work and negotiate the price and payment and know when your painting will be ready. Pay a deposit to start and then balance payment on completion when you are satisfied with the work.

5. Commission an Artist

Once you have located the right photo painter, its time to draw up a contract. Its not necessarily a lengthy contract, any written document, which shows a commitment to the agreed price and deadline is fine. It could be an email stating when the commission will be started, agreed price and turnaround time. Then Commission you chosen artist after your due diligence and wait for the date of completion.

If you are still not confident of commissioning a professional to paint a portrait then see here for an in-depth article for much more detailed information.

Three Essential Benefits of Honey to Pregnant Women

Three Essential Benefits of Honey to Pregnant Women

Being pregnant is crucial for every woman. A pregnant woman needs extra care with regards to health since there is another life depending on her. Proper diet, exercise and rest are very important in order to maintain good health not just for the mothers sake but for the baby as well. In case an illness takes place, it is vital to deal with it properly and immediately.

Treating an illness during pregnancy is quite challenging. The reason behind this is the fact that there are some medicines not suitable for pregnant women. These over-the-counter medications might contain properties that can induce side effects. If you are looking for a natural alternative to treat minor illnesses, honey might be a good consideration. Here are three benefits of using honey.

Relieves Cough

A cough during pregnancy is a critical situation. Treating this minor ailment requires delicate and tender touch. Pregnant women cannot just take any cough syrup or medicines. Honey is good for relieving cough. It is all natural which means it will not cause side effects (unless you are allergic to honey).

Using honey as remedy for cough is just simple. All you need to do is mix the liquid with gloves of garlic. Pound the gloves of garlic and put them inside a small jar. Add the honey and cover it tightly. Allow the mixture to blend well by leaving it for at least 24 hours before using. Take one tablespoon of the syrup to help subdue the cough. Continue taking the syrup until you feel better.

Treats Heartburn

Heartburn is very common to pregnant women due to hormonal changes. It takes place when the acidic stomach contents go back into the esophagus. Having a heartburn is really aggravating specially to the expectant moms. This ailment will likely cause the pregnant woman to lose appetite. That is why it is essential to deal with it instantaneously. There are different medications available in the pharmacy for this sort of condition. In case you want to try an all natural remedy, take advantage of the organic properties of honey.

The remedy for heartburn is quite simple. Just mix one tablespoon of honey into a glass of milk then drink it when there is a sign of heartburn. Pregnant women usually drink milk to reinforce the food and vitamins taken so it is not really a burden to incorporate honey. Since honey is sweet, it will just act as a sweetener to the milk. Honey and milk mixture offers chemical free heartburn remedy.

Cures Sore Throat

Lets face it. Some medications are unsafe to be taken during pregnancy. In an effort to avoid using medicines that may cause harm to the unborn baby, many pregnant women look for natural remedy for minor health conditions. When you have sore throat, making use of honey as treatment is considered as the safest option. Sore throat is painful. So, the suffering should not be prolonged.

There are two options to treat sore throat using honey. First option:, mix lemon and honey with a glass of warm water. The mixture should be gargled to help alleviate the pain associated to the ailment. Second option: A pregnant woman with sore throat can directly swallow a spoonful of honey. All natural honey can offer relief without putting the babys life in danger.

Treating any kind of ailment during pregnancy should be carried out with extra care. In this case, honey is used to fight off three common illnesses which make it vital to save honeybees from being extinct. However, keep in mind that making use of natural products do not guarantee absolute effectiveness. These remedies should only serve as alternative not primary.

The Royal Family Why Are Some People Obsessed With The Royal Family

The Royal Family Why Are Some People Obsessed With The Royal Family

Over the ages the purpose of the royal family has changed. Today they are not only an attraction for people from all over the world and for people in Britain: they are also idolised and worshiped by thousands of people.

The royal family are the modern day celebrities and this is of course a far cry from their original purpose. However, unlike other celebrities that are often elevated and then toppled by the media; there identity is rarely tarnished.

Modern day celebrities are all too familiar with being scrutinized and pulled down, some get back up and others do not. One of the reasons that this doesnt happen to the royal family is because they are generally portrayed as being perfect human beings. And out of this perception is the creation of an incredible illusion.

A Deeper Look

Here I will present my own views on this obsession and they are not to be taken as the absolute truth. My intention is not to label the royal family as being appropriate or inappropriate or as good or bad, but to simply look at the psychological dynamics that are involved.

On The Surface

No matter what one is talking is about, something exists because it has a purpose and the royal family are no different here. On the surface they could be described as individuals that posses esteemed qualitys such as; morality, integrity and compassion.

As a result of this, The Royal Family, are role models to people from all over the world. How they behave and the way that they conduct their life is what people of honour are made off. Their behaviour is magnified as a result of there being so many examples in the media of people who act without a sense of morality or who are without higher values.

Two Options

Now, this can either cause one to see these people in two ways: as role models and an example of how life can be lived. Or one can end up seeing them as superior and out of this superiority comes the feeling of being inferior.

And if one feels inferior to something, then one can either worship or disdain that which is causing them to feel inferior.

The Royal Illusion

One of the things that the royal family have done extremely well in upholding, through the assistance of the media, is the royal illusion. As part of this illusion, they are treated and perceived differently and are almost seen as being above other human beings.

Questioning The Unquestioned

However, in order for an illusion to exist it has to be believed and if its believed, it will never be questioned. If one has been brought up by to see life a certain way by their caregivers and then grows up to see that the majority of society see life the same way; it will be unlikely that another way of seeing life will ever be considered.

Fairytales

Life is made up of many illusions and falsities. When children are younger they are often told fairytales. There are also numerous films that can be watched by children about princess and princesses.
These fairytales are not meant to be taken literally and contain a deeper meaning or message. They are symbolic in nature as opposed to being literal.

And in the modern day royal family we have a fairytale that has been manifested into a reality. It would appear that this manifestation doesnt carry a deeper meaning or anything symbolic.

A closer Look

I mentioned above, that something only exists because it has a purpose. And in order to understand what psychological needs the royal family are fulfilling; I believe we have to look at the role of the ego mind, childhood development and the inner child.

Although the royal family are perceived differently and live a life that is materially and socially different from the majority of people on this planet, they are still human beings. And inherently they have no more value than anyone else and they will also live and die like everything else.

A Projection

What this means, is that the only reason they have such power and influence over people is due to what an individual has not realised within themselves. Here the parts that have not been realised will end up being projected externally. This is what the ego mind does and it does this as a result of seeing life through polarities.

To the ego mind, everything is split and separate; wholeness does not exist. And through projecting these parts outside they will show up in certain individuals or groups of people. If one is conscious of this process then they can embrace what is within, but if this doesnt happen then these external figures will be seen as being superior or inferior.

Childhood

This way of looking at the world and others is usually formed and influenced in ones childhood. Whether one had their developmental needs met during this time and to what degree they experienced trauma, will go a long way to defining what one will unconsciously seek or not seek in other people as an adult.

As an adult it will not matter that these childhood needs were neglected all those years ago and no longer have the same importance; because one will be pulled back to these moments. This will happen through the defence mechanism known as regression.

Here one will regress to their wounded inner child and have the same feelings and behaviour that they did all those years ago.

Inner Child

The power that this Wounded inner child has over present behaviour and feelings cannot be dismissed or minimized. One can become completely overwhelmed and lose all awareness through regressing to the wounded inner child. And this wounded inner child, just like a real child, has a strong need to be safe.

So How Does This Relate?

If an individual regresses to their inner child, as a result of certain childhood needs being neglected or trauma that needs to be processed, one will perceive these needs as coming from someone else. They will also see other people as mother and father figures. And this will mean that certain people will be seen as being superior and as having more power.

And if this wounded inner child didnt have a functional or happy childhood, it will constantly be looking to make everything perfect and to receive what it didnt have all those years ago.

With one regressing to this wounded inner child that has such a strong need to be safe; one will then feel more of a need for external support and familiarity. The ego mind is conditioned during these early years and sees what is safe based on what is familiar.

The Royal Family

So in many ways the royal family are there because they are being perceived as parental figures. There are seen as god like and worshiped, which is the way children typically see their parents.

Through the illusion of the royal family being perfect, they give some people that have regressed to their wounded inner child the perfect parents that they never had. Here peoples wounded inner child can identify with the image that is being portrayed.

And through the royal families familiarity and there constant exposure, they create a sense of being safe in people and this creates an inner stability through external familiarity.

Conclusion

Each of these elements is not necessarily dysfunctional if one is aware of what is taking place, but if one is not aware it can lead to an obsession and to seeing the royal family as more than they truly are. This will not assist in ones realisation as a human being and will cause one to be perpetually trapped in an illusion.

This brings new meaning to the concept of a narrow road. And the fact that youre reading this means youre almost on the narrow road to recovery.

How did that 11 percent find their way to recovery? The answer is through admittance.

No, this isnt a pun. We mean admittance as in admitting you need help.

If you feel something is wrong, but elect to go it on your own, you will surely fail.

In addiction recovery, no man is an island. And you need to change your environment completely to overcome addiction.

A study after the Vietnam War showed us why this is true.

Vietnam Study Shows That A Change Of Environment Is Paramount To Addiction Recovery

When we went to Vietnam, our soldiers became addicted to Heroin. It seemed like the drug just wouldnt let go.

When the President found this out, he ordered that soldiers be made to dry out in Vietnam before they return to their homes.

The government wanted to study what happened to the soldiers when they returned home.

What they found was that when the soldiers returned home, only 5% of them returned to heroin use. This completely upturned the ideas we had about heroin abuse in the United States.

What was the conclusion of the research? First, the setting of war prompted the addiction. Second, the setting and the addiction went hand in hand.

The difference between addicts at home and addict in the war is that addicts at home got addicted at home.

Psychologically, they associated their addictions with home. And unless they changed their home environment, they would never beat their addiction.

The soldiers in the Vietnam War changed the war for their more stable home life and beat the addiction.

Conclusion:

If you want to beat addiction, the first step is admittance. The second is to go to https://myrealrecovery.com and get help.

Kick the monkey off your back. Fill the hole in your life. Change your environment. You can change your life completely around. Its utterly possible.

It just takes admitting you need help. Dont wait another day. Find relief now.

The Movie I,Robot, Starring Will Smith What Is Your Purpose

The Movie I,Robot, Starring Will Smith What Is Your Purpose

In the movie, I,Robot, almost everybody has a robot. Robots are nothing special. They're designed to follow their masters' orders, period. For this reason US Robotics designs their robots with a brain only, no soul. They are all logic, no heart. This is science apart from God.

However there is one robot named Sunny who is created by his "father" with a special purpose: To function apart from the central super-computer, Viki. His designer, Dr. Landing, gives him an extra "positronic brain," which sets him apart from his mechanical peers. This separate consciousness allows him to override the Three Laws of Robotics (1. A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm. 2. A robot must obey orders given to it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law. 3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.)

Sunny is unique because he was designed with something like a soul. Therefore he dares to think about purpose; he dares to dream. The fact that he cares about purpose proves that he was created for a purpose by his "father," as Sunny calls his designer, Dr. Landing.

Similarly, the fact that human beings care about purpose proves that we were created for a purpose. If God did not create us for a purpose, then the concept of purpose would never cross our minds. If God did not create humanity for a purpose, then the world is full of billions of two-legged, thinking, talking accidents.

Another hint that we were created by God is that we have the power to choose. Likewise, in I,Robot, Sunny could not have been rolled off the mass-production line. He was created carefully by his "father" to function as something besides a mindless drone.

Evolution says that consciousness is an accident, but this is impossible. Consciousness implies purposefulness. If we were nothing more than minerals and moisture then we would function by logic only. But everything that makes us human defies logic.

The fact that Sunny had a soul made it possible for him to appreciate something as illogical as liberty. It gave him the ability to comprehend the value of life. For this reason, he could ally with those who cared about a moral right. Similarly, for us humans, as long as we acknowledge our spiritual roots we will appreciate moral uprightness. As long as we draw near to God, we will maintain our ethical bearings. Apart from God we will devolve into either heartless machines or senseless animals.

The Most Memorable 90s Songs

The Most Memorable 90s Songs

When I think about 90s Songs, I think about variety and diversity. The one thing that separates this era from the others is that there was not one type of musical genre that dominated. There was alternative rock, grunge, R&B, dance, electronic and of course teen pop. There was a bit of everything and great bands and songs produced in the process.

It wasnt easy to choose a couple of songs from this era to feature in this article. However, I finally made my choice and I hope you enjoy what I have to offer.

(Everything I Do) I Do It For You Bryan Adams

One of the best love songs from the 90s, if not the best. The fact that it remained on top of the US charts for 7 consecutive weeks is testament to its beauty and impact. Overall, it was highest selling song in the world in the year 1991. The message in the song is simple yet powerful: if you want to show your undying love for someone, you must be prepared to do whatever is necessary for that person. A true ballad for the ages.

Iris Goo Goo Dolls

When I think of this song, I always think about the movie City of Angels. Which is normal given that it was the success of the movie that made this song popular and one of the best 90s Songs. Unfortunately for Goo Goo Dolls, this song was not permitted to chart until it became a commercial single. When it was finally released as a single, it only made number 9. If it had been released earlier, it would have been one of the biggest number one hits of the decade. It is still a great song nonetheless loved by many around the world.

End of the Road Boyz II Men

In 1992, Motown came back to prominence with the release of this record breaking song in 1992. In total, it spent 13 consecutive weeks at number 1 in the United States, which Boyz II Men would break twice in the 90s. The song deals with an imminent breakup between 2 lovers, where the man does not really want to let his woman go. The voices of the singers blend together very well and soon their style became to get copied. As a result Boyz II Men led the way for a new era of boy bands in the 1990s.

Overall, the 90s were a wonderful period of music where no genre dominated throughout. As the songs above show, 90s Songs have the ability to remain timeless and played over and over in the future.

The history behind LEGO toys

The history behind LEGO toys

For sure you have heard or play with LEGO, one of the most famous toys in the word. I want today to tell you a bit more about the history of such a great company.

Ole Kirk Christiansen was a carpenter in Billund, Denmark who opened a woodworking shop in 1916. He and his team of apprentices built furniture for people in the area. The company's name was coined by christiansen in and from the danish phrase. Ole kirk christiansen also his son godtfred kirk invented lego, of the years of the lego brick here are the best sets in history handpicked from.

By 1954 , Christiansen's son, Godtfred, had become the junior managing director of the LEGO Group. It was his conversation with an overseas buyer that struck the idea of a toy system . Lego was born from the creative mind of Danish carpenter Ole Kirk Christiansen back in the early 1930's. The Lego name was coined in 1934, meaning "play well" and it certainly has lived up to it's name. The history begins in 1932, when master carpenter Ole Kirk Christiansen sets up a company in Denmark to manufacture a variety of household goods like ironing boards and stepladders along with wooden toys.

Christiansen's company continued to make wooden toys until 1960, when its wooden toy warehouse was destroyed in a fire. In 1934, he named the company "LEGO," an abbreviation of the Danish words "leg godt," or "play well.". Godfred Kirk Christiansen travels to England and meets a purchasing agent on the ferry. They talk about toys. Ole Kirk Christiansen was a carpenter who lived in Bilund, Denmark, and that is also where the company first began. Little would he know that from one decision during the Depression, one of the most popular toys in the world would be created.

For over 30 years, the LEGO Company made only toys and related goods. Then in 1968, the company opened its first LEGOLAND - in its home city of Billund, Denmark. Combining the LEGO building bricks with a computer, the Robotics Invention System 1.5 is currently the most advanced set in the LEGO Company's line of technology-based products. This toy is targeted at users ages twelve and above, and that includes any moms, dads, and grandparents that want to join in. Lego Company still can harvest the profits from its bricks sales as this software will be highle dependable to Lego Mindstorm brick.

Even Lego Company will probably never know where will this partnership goes.

Unfortunately, the Lego company sometimes behaves monopalistically and often overprices its products, counting on branch loyalty to pull them through. Lego has been losing money in recent years but still controls a large market. The LEGO company patents the stud-and-tube coupling system. This new system makes models much more stable. The Lego company expanded their production lines to include lights, cameras, sensors, gears and accessory motors that compliment the Lego RCX. The RCX was a programmable brick that could be connected to a PC and given instructions to carry out very complicated tasks.

Regardless LEGO new policies, LEGO is a great toy, and it's company has done a lot to entertain many kids around the world. Including me.

The Famous Modern Surrealist Artist - Frances Bacon

The Famous Modern Surrealist Artist - Frances Bacon

One of the most powerful figurative painters of the 20th century, dwelling in grotesque and horrifying imagery, Francis Bacon was born in Dublin on 28 October 1909, the son of an English father and Irish mother. He was also a descendant of Sir Francis Bacon, the Elizabethan philosopher.

Bacon's original career plan, following leaving home at the age of 16, was to become an interior decorator and furniture designer. But he turned to painting, creating his early art in the cubist style. But by 1932 he had moved to a form of surrealism that was partly influenced by Pablo Picasso's works from 1925 to 1928. Two of Bacon's gouaches of this period are "Composition (Figure)" and "Composition (Figures)", both completed in 1933 and displayed at Bacon's first solo show, "Paintings by Francis Bacon" in 1934 at the Transition gallery in London.

The mid nineteen forties were the years when Bacon would create his masterpieces, "Three Studies for Figures at the Base of a Crucifixion" (1944) and "Painting" (1946). From around 1945, Bacon became obsessed with the human figure and began to paint it, distorting its form horribly and placing it in strangely bizarre and revolting imagery. It symbolized anguish and a refusal to accept the common perception.

The 1950s saw Bacon approach the human figure more directly, working on images from photos by Eadweard Muybridge or from newspaper clippings. He would combine photographs of humans and animals in motion by Muybridge with borrowings from paintings from the recognised masters. A classic example is the series of paintings by Bacon that was inspired by Spanish painter Diego Velazquez's portrait of Pope Innocent X, and included an inspiration from a close-up shot of the wounded nurse depicted in "The Battleship Potemkin", a film by Sergei Eisenstein. The result was named "Study after Velzquez's Portrait of Pope Innocent X" (1953).

Throughout the major part of Bacon's career, the major theme of his paintings was isolation of man that led to anguish. This was generally depicted by a male figure in a dark, claustrophobic room or interior. The deformations used by Bacon betrayed every hint of tension. Bacon was also an improviser and employed unconventional and unique painting techniques, such as the use of rags, twirls of dust and his bare hands, apart from the paint and the brush.

Galleries and museums such as the Marlborough Gallery in New York and the Museum of Modern Art, New York conducted retrospective exhibitions of Bacon's work.

Francis Bacon died of asthma-induced heart failure on April 28, 1992 in Madrid.

Francis Bacon created his paintings on big sheets of canvas which were later stretched over bespoke frame. A more suitable modern alternative for to create art with is Pre-Stretched Canvas. The Evolution Of Packaging

The Evolution Of Packaging

Although we seldom consider it, every time we open a food product that we purchased at the store we are taking advantage of thousands of years' worth of innovation in food packaging. Whether it's the cardboard box holding our cereal, the glass jar holding our olives, the paper sack holding our popcorn or the plastic bag our macaroni comes in, the way our food is packaged is tremendously important and plays a role in the lives of every single Australian every day. Learn more about the evolution of food packaging supplies by reading on below.

Paper: From Wrapping Food To Boxing It Up -

Paper has its origins in 2nd century BC China, when people started wrapping their food in mulberry bark. This probably marked the first time in history that people chose not to eat their food as soon as they came across it, choosing instead to save it for later. The Chinese perfected an efficient process for producing paper soon after. Years later, in 1310, paper making took hold in England. This paper was made out of cellulose which was usually found in linen.

In 1867, paper making became much easier when people discovered that cellulose could be found in wood pulp. Paper use exploded, and it began being used in a lot of different food packaging applications. The paper bags that became so ubiquitous in England around the 1840s segued into the cotton flour sacks that became the standard for many different things. During the 1870s, cartons were first invented and came into popular use. The main food product that propelled cartons and cardboard into extreme popularity were cereals - especially once popular types of cereal were introduced by the Kellogg's company.

Plastic Changes The Food Packaging Game -

While paper could arguably be considered the first mainstream kind of food packaging and is still widely used as such today, there's no question that the introduction of plastics in food packaging during the late 1970s and the early 1980s changed things a lot. Plastic was discovered in the 19th century but didn't find widespread, mainstream use until the late 20th century. In addition to plastic containers, cellophane and other types of transparent film are commonly used to package food and are made out of plastic, too.

Interestingly enough, plastics are being given a run for their money by the paper packaging industry once more as more and more people become concerned about the environment. While plastics certainly aren't going anywhere - they will continue to be popularly used in food packaging - it's likely that more companies will eschew it in favour of paper wherever possible. There's no question, though, that plastic creates the perfect packaging for a broad array of different food products.

The Cast The Chronicles of Narnia Prince Caspian book excerpt

Family Reunion

Making a full-scale motion picture like Prince Caspian is a journey unto itself -- not only a physical one that took hundreds of filmmakers thousands of miles across two hemispheres, but also a spiritual and emotional voyage for the film's family members.

With mothers and fathers, sisters and brothers, sons and daughters, and husbands and wives away from home for close to a full year, the film company's 600-plus members bonded closely, sharing in both work and play, to create not only a friendly on-set environment over the lengthy seven-month shoot, but hopefully something greater than the sum of its parts -- something all can hail proudly when the lights go down, the projector flickers, the film unspools, and their collective movie magic enchants audiences the world over.

As production began over a year ago on that mid-February morning in Auckland, there stood Andrew, the lanky director, alongside his Pevensie clan like a proud father with his children, home for the holidays. Even though it had been barely two years since the completion of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, his film family had, indeed, matured, both physically and emotionally. Their patriarch grinned with pride at the progress.

There they were, anticipating their forthcoming experience and joyously reliving the last one -- Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy, in the guises of actors William Moseley (now a dashing 20-year-old), Anna Popplewell (a newly minted Oxford freshman), Skandar Keynes (with vocal octaves much deeper at age 15), and Georgie Henley (approaching teenhood, a good six inches taller than we last saw her).

"They've all grown up really well," Andrew beams about his young English cast. "It was nice to see them go back to a really normal life. They were excited about doing this again, and treated it like another adventure. There's change in very positive ways about growing up, but I'd like to say the movie hadn't changed who they are, which I'm really happy about. A lot of that's attributed to their parents. They've all got great parents."

"We're a really tight unit . . . a formidable four, you could say," quips Will, the eldest of the quartet. Adds Anna, "The dynamic among the four of us has pretty much remained constant, which is great. I know we'll all still be friends after the movie finishes."

"Do I feel like the leader of the group?" the handsome, fair-haired Moseley wonders when asked about the professional and personal dynamics of the four Pevensie actors. He responds proudly and without hesitation: "I definitely do!"

"Like I said before, I'm the oldest in my family," he continues, "Anna is the oldest in hers, so she is also kind of the leader. Skandar is the youngest, but wants to be the elder as well. Georgie is the youngest as well. We form a very tight unit. The parallels to our characters are simple -- we're all playing ourselves, drawing on our own lives, to show how similar we are to these characters."

While reflecting back to the beginning of the lengthy shoot, Anna was not surprised at the changes the cast experienced since they last worked together, over two years ago. Except, maybe about herself.

"What's nice is everyone has grown up a little bit and changed a little bit," she observes. "But, I've probably grown up the least, I'd say. Maybe that's just because I haven't noticed the change in myself." To which Andrew smiles and replies, "Anna's right. When I first met her, she was 13 going on 40. Now she's 18 going on 40."

Perry Moore's wonderfully evocative book took us behind the scenes of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, where we first met these four relative unknowns, memorably though Perry's vivid and poetic portraits in each actor's chapter. Let's take a further peek at the lives of the four Pevensies, now older and (one hopes) wiser, as they venture from their own private worlds in England back to a magical landscape that has changed drastically since the first movie -- much like the actors themselves!
